Mini Blue Book By Gemma

I have a fun little mini book to share with you all today. This is a simple little project that is not material heavy.  All I needed for this project was white card, Distress Inks, and the Artifacts secret key stamp.

What I did 😀

I cut the white card down to 3x2 inch rectangles for my pages and folded these in half. I then pushed them into Distress ink that I had spread onto my glass mat and sprayed with water.

Once dry I edged all the pages with more ink and then stamped along one side of each page. The stamp in a long one so I made sure to stamp different sections onto the pages. I then glued the pages back to back to form the book/signature.

When cutting the card for the cover, I cut the card a little larger than the pages and with a spine section in the middle. I then inked the cover following the same process as the pages, except for when it came to stamping. This time I stamped in a contrasting coloured ink and I stamped along the spine, I also added some more stamping using black ink. After gluing the pages into the book I cut a small band to hold the book closed and add interest.

Free as a Bird with Lisa

Hi folks, Lisa here and today is my turn to  post for The Artistic Stamper.
The theme this month is 'Colour it Blue' which for me, is quite "normal" as blue tends to be the most popular colour I go to. (mmmm.... I think I need to stop doing that...

I chose the fabulously crazy Birdz stamp set by Neil Walker to play with. Along with a selection of 3 x 3 stencils and a selection of blue Oxide Distress Inks.

I first used the stencils with the selection of blue inks on white card creating a background.

I then stamped the Birdz and coloured them in with the Oxide inks and water.

I then stamped the phrase 'free as a bird' using The Artistic Stamper Decay Alphabet stamp set.

Everything I used is below and available on The Artistic Stamper Website.

Thanks for popping by.
Toodles for now,
Lisa xxx

Dragonfly

Hi all you gorgeous crafters out there, Jane here once again to hopefully inspire you to join in our challenge for this month, where the title is "Blue", for you to interpret how you see fit!!
I am lovin seeing all your entries, I love how everyone has their own take on a challenge. I had lots of ideas running round in my head, especially with blues and teals being my favourite colours...I mean...who the heck doesn't love teal!!!
I was playing with some yupo paper, if you haven't used this stuff, it is a synthetic paper!!..yes I know!!..weird eh!!, but it is fab for using alcohol inks on, and if you really dont like what you do, you can just wipe it off or even run it under the tap and start again!!! how cool is that!!.
Anyway, like I said, yupo paper, alcohol inks, the dragonfly stamp from the BUTTERFLIES AND INSECTS stamp set.....which by the way, didn't stamp out exactly clearly, but I love that, it gives it an ethereal quality, so I rolled with it!!
Then I did my usual fave...recycled packaging,...free and fab!!. I scraped some embossing paste onto corrugated card, added some HARLEQUIN stenciling, spritzed it, then used it to layer my dragonfly on, then finished off with a sentiment from the FRAMED WORDS stamp set.

I hope this inspires you to join in the challenge, the link is HERE.
Hope to see you there.

Weird backgrounds by Titbelsoeur

Hello everyone !
Still testing our fabulous new Artifacts stamps, I have first stamped Treasured Memories
in the middle of my paper. Then I stamped Butterfly © Neil Walker and hid both to stamp Secret Keys  on the left side and Spirit of Adventure on the right side and add colour . I then distressed the edges and stuck it to a piece of paper that I stuck to... guess what ?

I have used the same material as a background to this tag that was published on Facebook just before the launch of Tracy Scott awesome stamps :

If you have found out what is this background made of, you may enter my giveaway for a chance to win this tag.

Do not forget that you can win these fabulous stamps, just participating in our challenge

Blue Star Card by Gemma

Loving the theme of this months challenge and there is still plenty of time to join in both here on the blog and on the Facebook group.

For my post today I have a card and tag to share with you all using Distress Inks and lots of Jennie's stamps

What I did

1- I cut card to the size of my card blank and covered it with a layer of Distress Ink

2- I then stamped one of the new designs by Tracy Scott over part of the card. I heat embossed this with a clear embossing powder.

3- I filled the opposite side of the card with the small Scribble stamp

4- On a separate piece of card I stamped several different sized stars from the star set with black ink and heat embossed them before cutting them out.

5- I also stamped out and heat embossed the words Happy Birthday from Grungy Greeting 1

7- I coloured all of these pieces and an extra mat I cut with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides before gluing everything in place and adding doodles with both black and white pens.

Artifacts cards by Titbelsoeur

Hello Everyone,
Last week you have seen the first card I have made with our new fabulous Artifacts stamps. Here are 2 others I have made using quite the same techniques : first stamp the Artifacts text, then the focal image-s (queen bee or red hearts), hide both the text and focal image-s and stamp the background.

On this one, I have only used ink :

On that one, I have stamped Artifacts and red hearts with ink, and used acrylic paint on my gelli plate to ink the background hearts :

I hope these techniques will help you find inspiration to participate in our monthly challenge !

The "C" word!!!!!!!

Yep.......It's that time of year!!!....The "C" word!!! ..All you crafters will know what I am on about!!!....."Christmas card making"!!. LOL...I can hear some of you saying that I am being a bit premature, and for a gal who if there was no last minute then nothing would get done!!!..I am pretty much organised, so yes, as the theme for this months challenge is BLUE, it was the perfect opportunity, so I have made a start on my Christmas cards.

I am obsessed at the moment with my gelli plate, so that is the route that I decided to go down. I started off with a gel printed background, then made some "bauble" shapes with my small round gelli plate, then with several Artistic Stamper STENCILS & MASKS I did prints over the top, then using paint on the gel plate as a stamp pad, I stamped the SNOWFLAKES then finished off with the sentiment from the CHRISTMAS GREETINGS stamp set.
I hope you can join in this fun challenge, and maybe start your Christmas cards too..hee hee.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .
In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook!

And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice! To get you started here are creations fron some of the team...

Angie Coomber

I used a Canvas, and added  Gesso, with  Acrylic paints, the contents of a Jamboree Bag, some Tissue paper, and Grunge paste. The canvas was painted and stamped with The Artistic Stamper Stencils, and Artistic Stamper Stamps.

Jennie

I challenged myself to decorate a teabag. This was brand new one that I got from online. I used Distress Oxides only in blue, and stamped one of Tracy Scott's new backgrounds , also in blue. I then added the girl from Garden Plate onto another tea bag and glued her on. A bit of PaperArtsy paint and sparkle was added to the image.

Titbelsoeur

To make this blue card, you will use your small gelli plate as an inker with 2 tones of blue and 1 black acrylic paint that you will randomly mix.
First you stamp the "Thank You" Artifacts stamp.
Then you hide it with a piece of paper and spread paint on to the background
with your brayer.
Final touch : you stamp Butterflies of 2 different sizes and ink the borders with your brayer.
I will show you other samples made with these beautiful Artifacts stamps later in the month.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

Have a very creative  month

Jennie xx
