Greeting cards by Titbelsoeur

Hello Happy Stampers !
To make these greeting cards, I have first  glued some pieces of books or magazines to a drawing paper. A slight coat of gesso with a credit card, and I added acrylic paint with my fingers :

I stamped dots and circles from Decay Journaling Stamps #1 Decay Swirl Background  and Borders A5 2 with white acrylic, Calligraphic Mat 1 and Calligraphic Mat 13 with black Archival ink :

I cut the paper in pieces to fit my black cards and added "Season's Greetings" from Christmas Greetings # 1 and "Happy New Year" from Christmas Greetings # 2 . I highlighted the first one with a white pen, and the second one with white acrylic on the top to figure snow and black on the bottom to highlight.

Explore - Art Journal cover

Hello Everyone,
Happy New Year to you All!! This is my first post of 2015 at Artistic Stamper.
Today I would like to share project with you which is 'New Beginning' which is also a theme of our challenge this month. New beginning of my 'face journal', yes, I took up a challenge for myself  and which I rarely do, and I am totally fascinated about right now,  is to create one mixed media face journal page  every week this year!! :)
and here is Journal cover I made with Artistic stamper stamps.

Let's see how I made this ....

I've used Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Mini Journal board as a base. I applied Gesso as a primer.. When It dried, I applied distress paints (Broken china, Forest Moss, Vintage photo, Brushed corduroy, Tea dye), spritzed water and let them move and this created my base color.

Next I stamped Artistic stamper's Song Bird stamp on tissue paper with ranger jet black Archival ink and adhered that piece on my base. To create dimensional texture on this panel I used stencils and modelling paste.

Here you will see I adhered some of the elements like pearls, wood veneer birds, diecut dragonflies, vintage butterfly washi tape.

and I wanted to add more color but translucent one, so I used Distress stains (Broken China, Evergreen Bough, Wild Honey, peeled paint and Walnut stain)

Another layer of stamping with Artistic Stamper stamps- Calligraphy mats - 4 and small circles from Boarder stamp set 2 I love the texture it gives!!

For final finishing touches, I applied bit of Viva Decor Inka Gold on raised surfaces.
I also used vintage photo and tea dye distress inks to apply on all edges of this piece.

The journaling  word is 'explore'

Let me know if you liked my tutorial and project, it makes my day!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Don't forget to participate in our monthly challenge to win some fabulous Artistic Stamper stamps.

Klimt Take On Salome By Dee

Hi everyone I hope you are all well, this piece is inspired by the artist
Gustav Klimt if any of you know about him
he was a symbolist painter.

The moment I spotted this stamp I thought of his work
So with that in mind it would be rude
not to use gold.

Firstly I painted my board with Fresco  Finish paints in the
following colours Tikka, Seaweed, Brownshed,
claret and Baltic Blue.

I stamped the Salome stamp to the centre in versa fine onyx black
and then clear embossed it. Then around the edges I stamped

I then added some hessian ribbon down the left hand side and
attached this with five brads.

Next I picked out areas to highlight with old gold

I also used the Claret and brown shed to highlight
other area's.

Next I used a small paint brush and applied glossy accents to
highlight certain area's.

I poped this on to a vibrant red covered foam board.

I then placed this on to a black piece of card that I had randomly
stamped with the swirl pattern of the tick tock plate that had
been inked with gold brilliance and heat set.

That's it from me today thank you for taking the time to pop by
please feel free to leave your comments
happy stamping!
Dee x
