Alice! by Tina Barnett

Hi!

I am here with one of the Alice in Wonderland Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps This stamp can be found at The Artistic Stamper along with some from the same set.

I started with a Background stamp also from The Artistic Stamper . I used Tim Holtz distress inks to stamp and then went around the edges to age them.

I then stamped and coloured the image with the same ink, again distressing the edges.

I used to pieces from the Tim Holtz grunge board pack, I thought they matched the Alice in Wonderland theme well.

I finished off with some gems and mounted the image on to black card.

With Easter coming up these stamps are a good alternative to the normal Easter Bunny!!

Thanks for looking xx

Walkies! By Tina Barnett

Hi Crafty Peeps!

I am here with a new Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp called Walkies! This stamp can be found at The Artistic Stamper shop along with some other amazing stamps!

I have used Promarkers to colour the image. I love love love it! Such a cute stamp! I will be giving this card to my Mum for Mother's Day. But you could use it for any theme, birthday, thank you, thinking of you! Or of course for dog and cat lovers!

I have used diecuts for the shape and then Tim Holtz Distress inks which I have blended in to the layers of the card. I have then used the pink lipstick ink to stamp over the yellow layer. The stamp I have used is the Baroque stamp by The Artistic Stamper .

I then finished off with some flowers and a broach charm from my stash.

Thank you for looking and I can't wait to play again!

Pastel Mabel by Tina Barnett

Hello!

I have decided to go with pastels this time around. I have used Promarkers to colour this beautiful stamp by The Artistic Stamper Mabel Lucie Attwell range.

I think soft colours work really well with this image. What a wonderful stamp for birthdays, children's cards even Mothers Day!

I have added some soft tone papers and flowers from my stash to finish the card off. I think it shows how versatile the stamps can be, whether you use Promarkers, inks for a grungy feel or both! You get great results every time.

Thank you for looking and go check out the full range of Mabel Lucie Attwell Stamps Here
Bye for now!

Flower Power by Tina Barnett

Hello my crafting friends!

I thought I might jump back to colourful this time around, using the fabulous Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp called "For you".

The stamp is from The Artistic Stamper
I have used Aqua Markers which are a watercolour pens from the Promarker range. I think watercolours show off the Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps so well.
I wanted to show you how you can mix in your old or forgotten stash with your new stamps. I made the card for a friends 30th Birthday, so the stamp can be for all ages.
I have used my larger nesties to make the mount and edged the top layer, surrounding the image with watercolour to bring in the shades of the main image.

I used papers and flowers from my stash along with some ribbon and gems.

I hope you like the card. Let me see what you can make with your Mabel Stamps!

If you don't have any yet, you can find them Here

Bye for now!

Mabel Lucie Attwell by Tina Barnett

Hi Crafty People!

I am back with one of my favourite stamps from The Artistic Stamper range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps.

I have gone all grungy again lol! This time I have stamped using Tim Holtz spiced marmalade distress ink.

I have only used this colour when shading the image and stamping the background. The grunge swirls are of course also Lord Tim of Holtz and also coloured with the same ink. Back to the background stamp, this wonderful stamp is the Baroque Background from The Artistic Stamper . It is a fabulous background! I can't stop using it!
I have aged the edges of the matts and the main card and sentiment. The matts and the sentiment have been paper pieced to give a different look.
The sentiment is brilliant! This is also from The Artistic Stamper in their sentiment range.

I have finished off with a few gems, ribbon and flowers to add and aged but bling finish! I have so much fun just using one colour! Give it a go and come back and leave me a comment so I can come and look.

Bye for now !!

Melt Pot Mad! by Tina Barnett

Hi Gang!

Now for a change to my card making I thought I would share with you some of my Melt Pot Madness!

I love to use Background stamps and embellishments together with my melt pot.

This is a script stamp by The Artistic Stamper.

I have used a Ranger frame, placed on the stamp and poured in the melted UTEE , so you get a beautiful piece of art to use on your cards. For the second piece I placed I clock embellishment in the center before I added the UTEE , . Both times I have removed the frame so that it can be used again. Make sure you use Versamark ink on the stamp so it will release more easy.
My next background is the Baroque background design by The Artistic Stamper
I have used different embellishments in the center, a round sentiment disc with a key, a crown and lastly a little black heart. I have left the black heart piece in the frame as I will make it in to a bracelet or choker necklace.
Next I used the Regency Background, available from The Artistic Stamper.
I have used a clock embellishment this time, you can see that the clock is partly under the UTEE , but this just makes it more interesting! I love how the UTEE , takes on the shape of the stamp and the metal embellishments. So much fun!!
Next up is The Artistic Stampers gingham type background. It's like a tiny grid design.
I have made two pieces of jewellery this time, using Tim Holtz button embellishments. I have to say I LOVE them!! As with the others I have brushed the finish piece with Mica Powders. I love the look, but if you wanted to you could bling them up more adding more embellishments such as a little butterfly or flower.
Now, the last piece is different to the others as I have taken a Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp, also available from The Artistic Stamper.
I have chosen part of the stamp and using the same method as before poured over the UTEE , . Once the piece sets you get a negative image of the stamp, I used some Metallic paint to colour the raised parts of the image. I will make a grungy card with this image to include this piece of art work some time in the future.
I hope you have enjoyed looking. The main thing to remember is to just have a play! The best thing is that if you don't like what you make you just melt it down again!

Once you start I bet you get as addicted as me!

Check out the The Artistic Stamper online store for details of the stamps and all your melt pot needs!

Have fun!!!!! See you soon.

For You by Tina Barnett

For You! One of the NEW Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps is available at The Artistic Stamper

Wow oh wow!! I love this stamp! I have abandoned my usual Promarkers to try something a little different. I have used a Tim Holtz ink pad to colour my image, Frayed Burlap. I have still shaded the stamp image by building up the ink in some places.

I have to say I loved working with the ink! So on to the ins and outs of the card. I used an 8in by 8in card and aged the edge with the Frayed Burlap ink. I then took 2 pieces of white card stock and stamped 2 back ground stamps, one stamp on each sheet. I then used my waterpen and blended in the ink. I also aged the edge of the paper.

I made a frame using nestabilities. I then mounted the image . I layered the card together as shown.

I added some Frayed Burlap and Rock Candy crackle paints to different parts of the card. I inked a Tim Holtz swirl and added to the card.

I then completed the card with some twine and 2 heart embellishments.

I thought I would add a list of materials, most of them can be found at The Artistic Stamper

Stamps
Mabel Lucie Attwell "For You" - The Artistic Stamper
Two background stamps - The Artistic Stamper

Other Materials
Frayed Burlap Ink by Tim Holtz - The Artistic Stamper
Tim Holtz Crackle paints, Frayed Burlap and Rock Candy - The Artistic Stamper
Tim Holtz Harlequin grunge board swirl - The Artistic Stamper

The Card stock, twine and embellishments were from my stash.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed looking, I think this card shows that cute stamps can be grungy too!

Happy New Year Peeps!

Bye for now

I was drawn to this stamp as I am a dog lover and the image is CUTE! I have used Promarkers to colour the stamp.

The papers, ribbon and ribbon jewel are from my stash. I have shaped around the image and sentiment with a diecut.

I used a diecutting machine for the flower shape and the swirls.

I then finished off the card with liquid pearls and flowers.

I just LOVE this stamp, it is wonderful for young girls and ladies who are young at heart!

You have just got to try this wonderful range!

Take care for now!

Happy Birthday by Tina Barnett

Hello!

This adorable little Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp is available at The Artistic Stamper

This is such a beautiful stamp and lends itself to so many themes, Birthday, Friends, Children's cards, etc

I have coloured the stamp with Promarkers. I have kept a purple/blue colour theme throughout as I thought it looked good with just a limited colour theme. Of course you can go mad with colours if you wish!

I punched a little boarder and added a ribbon and bow, along with a little sentiment. I then added some paper flowers with little glittered centers.

I then finished off with a few gems.

A simple card but stylish! I mean what else do you need to add with such a fabulous stamp!

That's me for now! See you soon.

I dreaming of ...............................

............... more Stitchel stamps!

Hi Peeps!

I am going to bug the wonderful Hels Sheridan, the designer of Stitchels, until she caves in and designs more Christmas stamps! I love love love the snowmen and snowladies. They are available at The Artistic Stamper

This cutie is Millie!

I have used my favourite Promarkers to colour the stamp. I decided to go for pinks instead of the traditional colourways, well Millie is a lady!

What I have tried to show in this card is that when you are creating a Christmas Card, you can use embellishments that aren't necessarily Christmas embellishments. Yes I have used a Christmas charm but everything else can be used on any card.

By changing the colour of the flowers to match the colours I have used on the stamp and adding matching ribbon and liquid pearls around the edge bring everything together.
When you look at the card you think "Pink Christmas", but really the stamp and and charm are the only Christmas themed items.
So, come on give it a go, change your everyday embellishments to blend in with your Christmas cards.
I would LOVE to see what you do, so please leave me a comment and I can come and see.
Bye for now!

The Best Dressed Snowman by Tina Barnett

Hi Gang!

I am in LOVE with Stitchels Snowmen stamps by the wonderfully talented Hels Sheridan. They are available at The Artistic Stamper

This is Marty! So so cute! The stichels Snowmen and Snowladies make such amazing and cute cards.

I have also used two of the Stitchels Holly Stamps too. Marty and the holly stamps have been coloured using Promarkers.

I love making Easel cards because you can use different things for the "buffer" of the card. This time I have used ribbon.

I have also put ribbon under the main image and added a little bell charm.

I then finished off with some of my favourite perfect pearls in a little random pattern at the base of the card. The stamps make wonderful Christmas Cards of course, but also I would use them for invitations to a Christmas party. There are different Snowmen and women in the range, you must take a look! I have coloured them all so I am sure you will see more here and on my blog :0) xx

Thank you for looking and don't forget to pop over to The Artistic Stamper and look at the full range of Stitchels stamps. I would love to see what you make.

Bye for now!

It's Christmas time............. by Tina Barnett

Hello Everyone!

This adorable little Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp is available at The Artistic Stamper

I love this little one! So cute. While I was making this card I had a idea! Yes I do have them lol! I thought this design along with the stamp would make brilliant table placements for Christmas! What do you think?

I have used Promarkers to colour the stamp. What I like about the table placement idea is that you can colour the stamp to match your colour theme. Even if it is gold or silver, the leaves would look fabulous!

I have edged the stamp with Liquid pearls, this really makes the image "pop".

I have then added some berries from my stash and placed them around the image as well as using them as a buffer for the easel card.

Now because they are quite hard to glue down I had to use silicone glue, this could then be seen so I have used some "Fluffy stuff" to go around the berries to look like snow and sprinkled some glitter to look like the snow is shimmering!

I hope you have enjoyed looking! Please leave me some comments, I love hearing your feedback.

Happy crafting! Hugs Tina xx
