Well I'm back again, This time I've been using the stamps as a background for this shrine. The stamps I used this time were :
Baroque Background
Birds of a feather
Insects and Butterflies No. 1 # 017
Botanical Plate 1 # 038
I started off by using Viva Terra texture paste to cover the wood. you can find that Here
Then I stamped into the paste using the rubber stamps, remember to spritz the stamps with water before use, this acts as a release agent.
I let this dry & then I painted it all over with Viva Precious metal colour in Pearl Blue Here
This I heat gunned dry.
Once it was dry, I began to add other metallic paint colours such as golds, bronzes, coppers, reds and greens. I would paint it on and then rub it off again with a piece of kitchen towel, this ensured that you could still see the blue underneath, which in turn helps highlight the stamped images.
Once all the paint is dry you can rub on some stickles with your finger, I used Platinum and distress stickles Picket Fence
Emboss in Black the birdcage image on to some pearlised cardstock. Then cut out. This will become the body of the figure on the central panel.
Spritz some Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearl mist on to some Trimmings, this will glue on to the bottom of the birdcage.
Create a person to go in the central panel using any 'finds' and collage bits you might have handy.
Add some twigs and a bird image on to one of the folding panels
And some collaged words on to the remaining panel
And there you have it
Hope you liked this project, I'll see you soon for my final installment :D x

Set Me Free by Sioux Jenneys
It's my turn again and today I'm sharing a tag :)
Love tags.....don't you?
Love tags.....don't you?
2. The Scrabble tiles were stamped in Archival coffee and attached with silicone glue for a little extra dimension.
3. Stamped the wings from Crowning Glory in Distress Ink aged mahogany and added a tough of Distress Stickle rock candy.......although it does not show up well on the photo!
4. Cut a circle from the Mini Rosettes die and letters from Typeset Alphabet die out of Coredinations and layered them on the wings with silicone glue.
5. Stamped the Dancer onto the smooth side of some Coredinations (I wanted her to be facing the opposite way when viewed from the textured side) and cut out....adding one of the separate bodice pieces that had been stamped on blue Coredinations.
6. Stamped the Inspiration Jar once onto some plastic packaging ;) and once onto some metal using Stazon black. Cut out the lid portion from the metal and added some texture using Ten Seconds Studio tools and layered both images over the dancer with some silicone glue.
Don't forget that Adirondack and Distress Coredinations are on special offer this month here.
That's good news :)

Giveaway Time Again!
Goodly Morning Stampers... tis time for my monthly giveaway. This month it is a tag... and the extra little something is one of the brand new background stamps from The Artistic Stamper. To be in with a chance to win is simples... leave me a comment on this post... and I will add your name into the hat... I will use Mr Random.Org and a winner will be announced on September 3rd. Oh and to be in with double to chance, hop on over to my blog, HERE, and leave a comment and you will be entered twice :O))
So, my tag is made from a selection of the brand new stamps that will be launching on Saturday August 13th... Jennie has been previewing some on her blog this week... and... double trouble this month because Jennie also has a set of stamps and a tag to giveaway too. CLICK HERE to be whizzed off to see the deets.
I used Distress Stains to make an inky base for the tag - Old Paper, Frayed Burlap and Aged Mahogany with a smidge of Brushed Corduroy. The background was stamped with the Large Dotty Open and Frayed Burlap DI and then overstamped using the Mini Polka Dots background and Plum Archival Ink. I used the new Cup Ring stamps to make the lollipop flower - stamping onto Kraft Resist, colouring with Aged Mahogany and Old Paper and then scrunching and layering together. The leaves are cut from the Movers & Shapers Mini Branch die set and coloured with Crushed Olive DS. The butterflies are Movers & Shapers, coloured with Distress Ink and then overstamped with the Large Dotty Open... I wanted this to be a bit shabby so I stuck random bits of post it notes over the pattern, inked the stamp, removed the paper and then stamped... instant grungy look! I added a few bits of Idea-ology to finish and some flower Trim which was coloured with Aged Mahogany DS.
Here's a piccie of the Large Dotty Stamp that is up for grabs along with this tag. Do hop on over to Jennie's blog to more of the new releases! Thanks for looking... TTFN

Angel Child by Alison Hall
Hello Stampers, I have an altered wooden frame to share with you today.
First of all, I mixed a smidgen of sunset orange paint into some white gesso, then painted the whole frame with it. Then I painted a coat of rock candy crackle over the front. When this was dry, I used cut n dry foam to rub vintage photo distress ink into the cracks, to highlight them. I used a slightly damp cloth to wipe the excess ink off.
I stamped the flourishes in the two opposite corners with black stazon ink, then used orange viva gold to add some pearly highlights.
Next I stamped the girl image from the Childhood Dreams plate onto some book page. I mounted this onto tattered rose & spiced marmalade distress coredinations paper, then inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink.
I embossed a piece of black soot distress coredinations paper, using a Tim Holtz texture fade, then sanded it to reveal the core. I mounted my image onto this, then inserted it into the frame.
I stamped three medium flowers from the Flower Power plate, onto tattered rose distress coredinations paper, & three onto the spiced marmalade, then cut them out & embossed them, using Tim's dotty texture fade. I cut 6 leaves out of peeled paint coredinations paper, using Tim'smini branch & leaf die. I sanded & inked all the flowers & leaves, added the stamped button centre from a freebie Artistic Stamper stamp from The Craft Stamper magazine to each of the flowers.
Finally, I arranged the flowers & leaves in opposite corners of the frame, then added the stamped words from the Childhood Dreams plate.
The Ranger Core'dinations Paper is on special offer this month on The Artistic stamper website HERE.
Thanks for looking!

Bliss! By Tina Barnett
Hi Gang! I am back with you again using some more Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps. This cutie is called "Aufully Comfy". It's by The Artistic Stamper
I started my card using an 8 inch by 8 inch card (my preferred size to work with). I used a Tim Holtz distress ink to edge around the card.
then used some of my new favourite ever item! Coredinations card stock. You MUST try this!! you can do so much with it, emboss, distress, stamp etc etc I love it! Anyway..... back to the card lol!

I used the Coredinations card as a base piece by tearing the corner off and screwing it up then sanding it. I like the way it doesn't sit flat (you could make it sit flat but that's not the look I wanted).
I then used the Coredination card as layers for the stamp. Again I distressed them. The tones of the card are amazing. I used the same Distress Ink to colour my image.

The "bliss" is made using one of Tim Holtz book plates and tickets. I then filled in the opening with Crackle accents .
I finished the card of with Distress Stickles , flowers, hat pins and gems. Not forgetting a little bead also by Tim Holtz .
Well I hope you have enjoyed looking. Until next time!
Hugs

A Minute Saved! by Nicky Cresswell
Hiya Stampers, Hope you're all well and dandy this fine day {she says hoping it's not raining lol}
Today I have another manly project to share in keeping with this months MAN themed Challenge
I decided on a card mainly as am having some mojo issues but I worked through it and here is the result.
I started by stamping the base card 4 times with the numbered block from the family values plate with tux black memento ink.
Then I ran some slate coloured adirondack core'dinations through my vagabond with the clock folder from the steampunk texture fades set, I lightly sanded the card & used barn door distress ink to highlight the raised sanded areas.
I cut the paper to size then got some of the red pepper core'dinations as a backing frame, but it looked too plain so I stamped the smallest pocket watch from the time & keys plate round the edges.
I stamped the clock watching man from the men's plate onto plain white 160gms card and coloured with my copics, then mounted onto more of the red pepper clock stamped edge card.
I was about to mount the whole thing in the middle, but it just didn't look right, so I placed it half off the card and sliced the excess away, and for some reason I placed the excess piece on the card and loved the way it looked so that was a happy accident lol
To finish I stamped the next largest pocket watch from the same time and keys plate onto the back of some black TSS metal, I then used one of my basic set TSS tools to emboss the stamped watch image, turned it over, lightly sanded the areas I had raised and there you have it, one black metal watch which I finished with a bit of old chain attached to the card with a charm clip.
And that's that.
Thanks for popping by
Stay Inky
