Black & White by Tina Barnett

Hello!

This is Tina and I am here with a Mabel Lucie Attwell Stamp called "Coming up Daisies". The stamps are by The Artistic Stamper .

I used a Grand nestabilities for the shape of the card. The Image is shaded with black ink.
The Chipboard flower" is also from The Artistic Stamper . I have used Tissue Tape to wrap around the flower.
I used more nesties to mount on to the shaped card and to mount the image.
I then added some gems and a hint of red gems to bring out the red in the tissue tape.
A very simple card, but I love back and white.

Thank you for looking.

Hugs Tina xx

A light Journey! by Nicky Cresswell

Hay Stampers...
Just a humble card to share today
I have been playing with some of the new chipboard shapes that match some of the existing stamps that are available from the artistic stamper.
Namely the Inspiration lightbulb..
But instead of using it in it's original form I have turned it into a hot air balloon {i got this idea from Alison some months ago} by cutting it into 2 pieces and using some of the tim holtz mini game spinners as the connection between the 2.
The base for the card was created by firstly layering the entire surface of an 5¾" x 4" piece of card with script tissue tape from the hobgoblin set {which BTW is on offer this month HERE}
Next I coloured the base with mostly blue and a smidge of green distress stains to give the appearance of sky and land.
To further this idea I used some torn cor'dinations card to create some hills.
Then it was just a case of adding the bulb balloon and stamping the 'all of life' sentiment, which I did onto a mini chipboard tag. I then mounted the whole piece onto a 5"x7" card and hay hoe there you have it.
If you like my project then you'll love the projects from the other team members, why not scroll back and see what you might of missed.
Thanks for visiting

SPICE UP YOUR CRAFT ROOM

Hi all,
Kat here, AKA Kat's craft creations

This months focus for the design team is on tissue tape,
you can grab some Here at a great price.

I found an old spice rack in a charity shop
& thought I could alter that for my distress stains
& this is what I came up with.

The spice rack was already painted in a glossy green paint
(that wouldn't cover so I went with it)
I started by stamping the words randomly all over
from the creative art thoughts stamp set

Then stuck the Tissue Tape to all the edges of the spice rack,

I embellished it with flowers made from

in wild honey & tumbled glass
the leaves are cut from a sizzix die
& coloured with peeled paint Distress Stains

I added sparkly gems to the centers
& some stick pins,
I arranged & glued it with
super glue & silicone glue

& there you have it!
Easy Peezy lemon sqweezy (lol)

Here's a picture of some other things
that can fit in my spice rack
(I am definitely going to look out for more
spice racks to alter & house all my bottles & jars in them)

Hope you liked it!

Just before I go I would just like to say a big
Thank you for all the lovely comments
I have recieved on the projects I have shown so far
they are so much apreciated,

I will be back on the 15th with my second project,
hope to see you there!
Have a creative day
Kat x.

Aslan Awaits by Sioux Jenneys

Hello fellow stampers Hi-Di-Hi!
I had so much fun making this journal page and I'd like to share it with you today :)

I'm unsure as to how to explain the making as it just sort of made itself up as I went along!
I'll try to do my best though ;)

1. I added gesso to the page before I started and when dry coloured the base page with blue and red neo colours.
I could not believe my luck when searching for a wardrobe image on-line, as this was so like the wardrobe from my childhood it's unreal!

2. I used the new large dotty open background in Archival sepia, without using an acrylic block, to catch sections of the design on various parts of the page. Then stamped the smallest dot from swirls, splats and dots in some of the circles in Distress faded jeans.

3. Stamped the word Imagine from jounaling words and outlined using a Sharpie pen...then.........and you are going to have to take my word for it ('cos it's not showing up very well on the page but adds to the overall background for me! LOL) I stamped the new follow your dreams from the same plate in Distress peeled paint as a second stamping in a couple of places too.

4. Placed the small leaves from Stitchels curly dot on my acrylic block and stamped around the edge of the page in Archival black and added some jounalling lines using the closed zip stamp.

5. I wanted to add to the dimensional feel of the wardrobe on the page and decided to make some bows out of tissue tape.....it's on special offer this month here.

I first folded a length in half........sticky sides together and wound them round my fingers like this

Holding on to the middle pull the tape off your fingers...........please excuse the finger nails they are not in a very good state at the minute!!

Wrap some thin wire round the middle to hold in place and fancy cut the tails ;)

I did the same for the smaller bow at the bottom but cut the folded tape in half again for an even narrower width ;)

Stuck them on with silicone glue.

5. Made a ticket using a stamp on the ephemera 1 plate. And added the words Travel and Voyage on some edges.

6. Stamped the wings from crowning glory behind the wardrobe and the crown from the same plate on the top.....both using Archival.

7. Wrote some words that say

"In my dreams I am back in my mother and father's bedroom
(a place that was off limits unless invited)
looking up at the massive wardrobe that stood at an angle in the corner of the room.
How I longed to open the door and step climb inside.
To travel to a magical world.
To voyage to NARNIA."

Thanks for looking. See you again soon!
xoxo Sioux

Phineas Pinchbeck's Time Machine Oil, By Zuzu:

Hello Everyone. My name is Louise but I am better known to my crafting friends as Zuzu (or even Z lol). I am delighted to be here as Septembers guest Artist.
My first project is an Altered bottle (I apologise as this post will be picture heavy). It is a bottle containing Phineas Pinchbeck's "Time Machine Oil". Phineas is a Maker of all things to do with time and his time machine oil is of the best quality. Like all things of quality, attention to detail is of the utmost and this includes the packaging, in this case a very fine bottle.

For the main front I have used the inside frame from an old vintage clock. firstly I stamped out the text on to aged paper and secured it to the bottle then added the clock frame. I attached little cogs etc to the frame, and a propeller. I actually did this side last as it would have been harder to do the other faces with the frame jutting out like that.

I used the 'tick tock' plate (it can be found in the steampunk section HERE), to create an old grungy looking label. Firstly I stained the paper using 'Vintage Linen' distress ink. then i stamped the wheels and cogs on to it in 'vintage paper' distress ink and then over stamped in Tan/brown stazon. After that I stamped out the "Time after time" quote and cut it out, then glued it on to the label, leaving space for embellishments.
The other two sides remaining have the fabulous Steampunk Gents stamps made to look like labels. Phineas Pinchbeck and because one of the special ingredients is a quantity of Professor Harpers goose grease (usually used for moustaches), the professor insisted that he was included. The little tag hanging off also has these two gents on it as well as more of the super script stamp (it has a real nice old look to the font style)....

List of Items used from The Artistic Stamper.

Goose Grease
Tick Tock

Archival Ink pad (I used Coffee)

Steampunk Clock and cog charm.
Ideaology Key from the Locket set.
Ideaology Keyhole.
