Where there is love tag by Debs

Hi All

Debs here with my latest little creation in the form of a tag, and the first person that comments my deliberate mistake can win the tag.  I will also do my best to get it to them before valentines day ;-)

I started off  doing some printing with my gelli plate,  and this is when the fun started  I decided to use Distress Paints so out came all of my reds.  Candied Apple made its appearance first with a nice couple of squiggles on the plate, next came Barn Door and this lovely little container of paint usually works with a gently squeeze to get some extra paint out!  This is what happened when the gentle squeeze didn't work

You can imagine what the gelli plate looked like lol!  Anyway I digress, after cleaning up and progressing with the actually printing i came up with some prints ready to be used, the cream is Antique Linen Distress Paint.
I used a #10 tag (one of the big ones) and having decided on the prints i was going to use I added one of these to the tag. And added some bottle top marks with candied apple.

Then i added a smaller piece to one side ripping the overlapping edge and colouring with Candied Apple Distress Ink.

I stamped the large heart from The roses are red plate onto adhesive canvas i had already painted with the candied apple from gelli plate, which is what is giving the heart that lovely mottled effect.

I also stamped and folded in half two more hearts and glued these to an extra canvas heart the folded hearts then create a 3D effect, which also looks nice.

I also used the swirls mask and some of the other heart stamps to add some extra dimension to the tag and edged the tag and the canvas hearts with Black Soot Distress Ink  I also stamped the Where There is Love quote onto another piece of the canvas and frayed the edges!

I added an extra canvas heart to the side and snipped the edge of it

Added some black lace to the bottom, and some ribbon and fibres to the top and a touch more black soot around the edge!
As always do let me know what you think I really do appreciate your comments as we all do, on Facebook or on here we don't mind.
Don't forget to enter the challenge I shall look forward to seeing your creations
Happy Crafting

Lots of love card, by Titbelsoeur

Hello happy crafters !
Have you already posted your participation in our February challenge ?
If not, maybe you need some inspiration to do so ?
Let me show you my first HeART card of this month :

I have used a gelli plate to make the background, started applying blue and white acrylics with a brayer, then stamping splats from Swirls, Splats and Dotsinked with water to make ghost prints, and a torn paper to save place for the sentiment.
After that, I sticked the torn paper to stamp Neil Walker's Fantasy 2 border with Barn Door Distress ink, and his large heart with Broken China Distress ink :

Then I removed the torn paper, stamped the sentiment from Grungy Greetings in Words and sayings with Black Archival. Since this part appeared too white to me, I added a little Distress ink with a watercolor paintbrush :
Then I stamped these lovely Small but Beautiful Birds that you will find in the New Stamps section

Hi everyone sorry for the break in my posts but I have been away
visiting my brother in Malaysia and going to Penang so
a very lovely break for me.
I hope you are all well and got all your Christmas preparations well
underway now. For this board I used an embossing folder

Gold embossing powder was then applied and heat set.

Label by Titbelsoeur

Hello happy labellers !
Let me tell you the way I made this label :

First, I "watercolored" the background with 2 Distress inks, then I stamped words and clock from  Tick Tock A5 in Time with the same inks so that it is in matching shades.

After that, I stamped the dancer and the sentiment from Dance A5© Siuox Jenneys  in Dance with Plum Archival.

I glued it on to a cloth label to strengthen it and highlighted the dancer inside with white Posca and shaded it outside with a red pencil.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
your comments are very much appreciated,
here, on my blog, or on the Artistic Stamper's Facebook page.
I hope that my label did inspire you and that
you will participate in our October challenge
to win some fabulous Artistic Stamper stamps.

DIY Postcards by Gemma

Hi All

I was taking a wander through town recently and came across some blank postcards, and instantly thought what a good idea. You could decorated them any way you wanted, and use them as intended, make sets of them for gifts, or even just to drop somebody a note to tell them your thinking of them.

I used several different colours of Distress ink, including shabby shutter, twisted citron and frayed burlap. I used the same process on all three postcards pictured above, which started by blended two different Distress inks over the whole postcard. Then stamping over the top with a background stamp, The one below shows the chicken wire background stamp.

Over this on all the postcards I stamped with various cogs and springs from the Tick Tock stamp set, using different distress inks.

Using black archival ink, I stamped the large clock face and the text from the same set of stamps and doodled around the edges with a black pen. It was such a fun, quick, simple idea, and so handy to have a few made up and sitting about. Even just to flick through and cut apart for other projects,

Thanks for reading

Make me live tag by Debs

Hi All

I had a bit of fun with sprays and stencils on this tag.

I started with a large craft tag and covered it with gesso

Then out came the ink sprays, I used Dylusions and Distress ink sprays and stencils.  I started by putting a layer of just ink down, waited for that to dry off and then sprayed more ink through stencils until I was happy with the background.  Whilst I waited for it all to dry I stamped one of the Gibson girls onto plain white card with brown archival and coloured her in with distress markers.

Once the ink was dry, I then stamped the swirly stamp from the Decay Journaling stamp set in Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean, after these were dry i also did a couple in Archival black.  The words were stamped as a block onto white card with Archival and then cut out the words that I wanted.  I used grunge paste with the swirls and splodges stencil, one of the nice things about grunge paste is its ability to soak up the ink that is underneath it, meaning in. This instance I didn't need to colour it.  I made a large paper flower with a die, some book pages and stuck a wooden bead in the middle.  Then re-arranged the words and stuck them down.

Hope you are all enjoying this months challenge.  See you all soon

Hello Mr Postman !

And hello you Happy Crafters !
Since Summer is still on its way, I have made my second project for June to help you participate in the June challenge if you miss inspiration... and at the same time make your postman's day !

Always have 2 or 3 blank envelopes on your craft table to wipe your leftover paint or ink on stencils or stamps.

After using the Marbled 2 Background stamp with Broken China Distress ink, spray it up with water and wipe it on your envelope :

This will create a blurred wavy background. Let it dry.

Then you can stamp the Cogs Background here and there on the edges to leave room for the name and address, with Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire

And stamp the wheel from the Seaside No. 1 # 018 plate with Cobalt Archival

Also you may stamp the tag from the Labels A6 plate just to help write name and address.

The Special Delivery stamp comes from the Carte Postale size A5 © Katy Fox plate
the seashell stamps come from the  Seaside No. 1 # 018 plate

Thanks so much for stopping by,
your comments are very much appreciated.
I hope you will participate in our June challenge
to win some fabulous Artistic Stamper stamps.

Golden Flourish's

Hi everyone hope you are all well! I have for you today
a tag which  falls into the Challenge title which is
'Summer is on its way'. Why not play along
with us this month.

My tag today has been created by using the following Artistic
Stamper Stamps, Flourish background, insects and
 butterflies & calligraphy mat 12.

I used the thinlets die to cut the shapes into a craft tag.
I had coloured a piece of card with adirondack washes
then sprayed lightly with water to blend.

Next I tripple embossed using two coats of gold embossing powders
and one of clear utee. I then stamped the flourish
stamp into the hot embossing powder.

I coloured the die cut craft tag with distress ink which I blended
of the craft mat.  I spritzed with water to activate it.

Next I sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and heat set
from underneath to stop it blowing away.

I sprayed gently picket fence distress stain spray over that.

I used the same method to make the butterfly but I stamped it twice
and then built the butterfly up. Alcohol ink was
applied till I was happy
with the result.

Next I used glossy accents in the die cuts to highlight area's prior
to it drying fully I lightly sprinkled gold embossing
 powder & heat set.

I matted it to lime green card then black I hope you have all
enjoyed my post today and feel inspired to join
with us this month in our challenge.
As always I would love to know
what you think.
Cheers Dee x
