Time Card by Sioux Jenneys

Wow! Time flies when you are having fun!! :)

It has soon come round to my turn again and I'm here to share a card with you...
...it uses very little masking too :)

1. Cut a piece of card slightly smaller than your card base and stamp the crown from Crowning Glory in Archival crimson and mask it...
...then stamp the watch face from Time and Keys in Archival black on top and mask this.

2. Stamp the Mountain background on one half in Distress scattered straw... ...mask the edge at the middle with a scrap piece of paper and stamp the Europe Map background on the other half in Distress bundled sage.

3. Stamp the sentiment "There's no time like the present" from Time and Keys in Archival sepia all around the edges.

5. Scuff up the edges and age with Distress Ink wild honey and a touch of walnut stain. Attach to the card base.

Happy to have made that :) See you again soon!

We Will Always... by Sioux Jenneys

Hiya all! I'm sharing something a little different that includes a tag this time! HOL I'm all loved up....and wanted to wrap up a DVD that I bought as a surprise for my boyfriend....how snugly does that sound :)

1. Stamp some basic plain brown packaging paper with the background stamp of your choice in Archival Sepia, I used the Music background... don't be too concerned with lining the images up exactly....believe me it will not be noticeable once the package is wrapped. ;)

2. Cut a tag from kraft card and one from white card using the Sizzex Tiny tags and tabs die and stamp the script from Carte Postale plate in Archival coffee and age edges with Distress Ink walnut stain....cut the white one smaller on all sides and age with some Distress Ink Antique linen and attach adding a hole reinforcer cut from the same die.

3. I used words from Journaling Mini Words 1 but did not have the word "have" so cut individual letters from different words and glued them to some card...it was a bit fiddly but so worth it! :) I used part of the Paris postage from Paris to London plate and coloured with a Distress Marker in worn lipstick. The words were stuck to black card to finish.

4. I stamped the word Carte Postale from the Carte Postale set and the Fleur De Ly's from the T!m Paris to London plate in Archival coffee. Stamped one of the crowns from Crowning Glory onto metal, cut out using Tim Holtz scissors and puffed out the metal using a Ten Seconds Studio tool and attached to the tag. Wrap the gift, secure with some Bakers Twine and attach the tag.

Why not give your loved one a surprise package this week :) See you again soon!

Hold Fast....by Sioux Jenneys

Hello everyone! It's my (Sioux) turn again and I'm here to share a tag :)

1. I first made a background using Distress Inks in mustard seed spiced marmalade and worn lipstick with a touch of gesso dabbed here and there too...then stamped the Gibson Girl 4 in Versafine black. Stamped the sentiment Hold Fast...also in Versafine. Then masked the Gibson girl and stamped the bird from Airmail Bird Collage Elements in Versafine over this.

2. Masked the bird and stamped approximately half the tag with the numbers background from Numerical by Katy Fox in Distress weathered wood and the other half with the script from Airmail Bird Collage Elements in Distress vintage photo.

3. I stamped the Retro Squares border by Neil Walker randomly around the edges firstly with Distress Ink aged mahogany and off set the same border again using Adirondack in pool.

4. Stamped the word Love from Journaling Words 1 in Versafine and added a bit of shadow around the lady using a Distress marker in chipped sapphire.

5. Aged the edges with some more vintage photo and added some gold wire scrunched up through the tag top.

See you again soon!

2. Then stamped the Music background straight over the top in Distress Ink weathered wood.

3. Stamped the lovely flower image from the new Encyclopaedia Botanica plate from Katy Fox in Distress Ink vintage photo to one side.

4. Stamped the postage stamp and the note cartouche from Carte Postal plate in Distress Inks tea dye and spiced marmalade, then stamped the #1 from the Numerical plate using worn lipstick.

5. The flowers were coloured with Distress Inks spice marmalade and mustard seed using a craft nib.

6. Tattered the edges and coloured with vintage photo and attached to the card blank.

Spirit by Sioux Jenneys

Hello everyone! I'm here to share a card today using masks :)

1. Cut a circle mask out of card using a die cut and stipple Distress Ink in spiced marigold using a shaving brush or stipple brush.

2. Cut two more circular masks in smaller sizes and colour the larger one with Distress Ink aged mahogany.

3. Colour the smaller one with Distress Ink vintage photo and before you remove it stamp the Retro square background from Neil in Archival sepia over the top.

4. Because I got some stray ink on the base card I used the positive circular masks to cover what I had already done and stippled Distress Ink tea dye all over the base card.

5. Keeping the two smaller masks in place and removing the larger one I put the original large open mask back again and stamped the Dance Dictionary background through it in Distress Ink spiced marigold.

6. Remove all the masks and stamp the female Free your soul image by Donna in weathered wood and the wording from the same set in Archival black.

I do like a bit of masking fun, hope you liked it too :) See you again soon!

Mars-Venus by Sioux Jenneys

Hello everyone! It's my turn again and I'm here to share a journal page today using some of Neil Walker's fan-dabi-dozy new stamps:)

1. I spritzed some Dylusions onto the page and used a mask to spritz a bit more then, as the colour was too intense where I wanted the images to be, I applied a bit of white paint. I finished off by stamping the fabulous hatched border by Neil around the edges in Archival sepia. Why spend hours cross hatching when Neil's stamp can do it for you?

I, for one, do not have enough hours in the day!! ROFL

2. Stamped Franswar and Kiki in Versafine and added a little extra colour with Distress Markers.

3. I used a Distress Marker in Chipped Sapphire to add a solid line to the border and then some dots.

4. I doodled the words using a black marker and added some white pen marks over the top.

5. The words Mars, and Venus were cut from cardboard using a Tim Holtz die and coloured with Adirondack dimensional pearls. They were then stuck down with Glossy Accents.

6. It's a fairly simple page really but there is still potential to develop it further should the need to expand on the Mars/Venus - Male/Female thing ever pop in my head! LOL

Thanks for looking today :) See you again soon!

Don't forget those tags for the monthly challenge....you could be the one who wins this month :)

Art Moment by Sioux Jenneys

Hiya! It's tag time from me today :)

1. Stamp the dragonfly from Insects and Butterflies No1 in Versamark and heat emboss with black powder. Mask this and stamp the clock face from Tick Tock A5 in Archival sepia.

2. Leaving the dragonfly mask in place...mask the clock face too and stamp the Marbled Background on one half of the tag in Distress Ink weathered wood. Stamp the Calligraphic Mat 13 on the other half in Distress vintage photo.

3. Stamp the small clock gears from Borders A6 around the edge in Archival coffee.....the word Journey from Journaling Words II in Archival aquamarine and over stamp the All of Life is a Journey sentiment in Archival black.

4. Take off the clock mask and replace with the reverse mask and stipple Distress Ink brushed corduroy over to colour and stamp the word time from Tick Tock A5 in the same ink.

5. Remove the masks and stamp the words Art and Moment from Journaling words 3 in Archival coffee.....tatter the edges and ink with Distress Ink vintage photo.

6. Finish by adding an Ideaology metal crown from Adornments Regal and some hessian strands.

Heart Tag by Sioux Jenneys

I'm here to share a tag today :)

1. I scrunched up some tissue paper...unscrunched it and then stuck it to the manilla tag with Multi-Medium Matte.

2. I used some pan pastels applied through a stencil to make the heart shape and to colour the background with.

3. The man from Mens Plate 1 was stamped with Archival black on card and cut out and coloured with Distress Markers. Then I stamped the top corner of the stamp again to get the oblong shape, turned it over and stamped the girls face from Twenties 1 plate and suck this to the oblong.

4. The Wish from Journaling Words 2 , the sentiment from Journaling Words 3  and parts of the music from Music 001 were stamped in Archival black.

Fish and Flowers by Sioux Jenneys

Hello everyone! It's my (Sioux) turn again and I'm here to share not just one card...

But two cards!!! :)
I felt so guilty that these were so easy to make that I made two cards for you today ;)

1. I have taken to loving the look of stamped images layered together...no masking at all....in shades of just a couple of colours. So I stamped the fish card in Distress Ink faded Jeans and Peeled Paint then tatter the edges and inked with Distress Ink Brushed Corderoy. I used the following stamps on this card.

Fish and "Beside the Seaside" from Beside the Seaside
The net is Mini Lattice Wire
Polka dot is Dots Background
Flower from Botanical Plate 1
Journey from Jounaling Words II

2. The flower card was stamped in Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Scattered Straw then the edges were tattered and inked with brushed corderoy again. I used the following stamps on this card.

Flower from Botanical Plate 1
Calligraphic Mat 13
Stamp from Airmail Bird Collage Elements
Small Bingo Card
Butterfly from Insects and Butterflies 1
Happy from Jounalling Words 1

Ooh! Making those made me happy :) See you again soon!

On a Pedestal by Sioux Jenneys

Well it's November.....yikes it's Bonfire Night! Where has the year gone!!! LOL I'm here to share a tag today :)

1. I spritzed a tag with some Dylusions in melted chocolate, vibrant turquoise and lemon zest...then spritzed a bit of water over to help amalgamate the colours. Dried it off a bit and started to dab up some of the still wet ink for some texture. I then put a stencil/mask over and spritzed some water over it, removed the mask and blotted the water off some more.

2. I used the journaling mini words 1 as a background and stamped it in Archival coffee using a second stamping.

3. I stamped Life is a Circle in Archival black and over stamped the smaller clock face from Tick Tock plate in Archival coffee. Carpe Diem and part of another Architectural plate 1 element were stamped on the edges in Distress aged mahogany and a couple of the swirls from the Tick Tock plate were stamped in Distress vintage photo

4. I stamped the man from Mens plate 1 and the pedestal from Architectural plate 1 onto previously coloured card and cut out...attaching them with glossy accents.

5. I had used some kitchen roll to dab up the ink in step 1 so I decided to waste not want not and hand wrote the sentiment onto this using a sharpie pen (any water resistant pen will do it)...

..."She put him on a pedestal so that all could admire his beauty"...

the words were cut out and attached to the tag with Glue and Seal matte...it allows the background to show through to a certain extent ;) The word Beauty is from Nudes A4  plate. When the glue and seal was perfectly dry I added the lines with the Sharpie pen.

6. The edges were aged with Distress aged mahogany and fibres threaded through the tag.

Hope you liked the tag today :) See you again soon....keep safe with those fireworks!

Bird Tag by Sioux Jenneys

I'm here again to share a tag today :)

1. I made the background using Distress Inks faded jeans, Victorian velvet, and crushed olive swooshing them around on a non stick sheet drying and swooshing some more!! ;)

2. I stamped the bird from airmail bird collage in Archival black and then masked it...followed by stamping the music back ground in Distress Ink Victorian velvet.

3. The little combo at the top was the stamp image (aged mahogany), ticket (vintage photo) and "perfectly fitted" (Archival coffee) from Ephemera 1.

4. "Free as a bird" and "Hold fast" quote stamped in Archival black.

5. The mini lattice wire was stamped round the edges in vintage photo, then the edges tattered and more vintage photo and aged mahogany used to age the edges.

6. For no other reason than I have a lot of spare cava tops
(I am the cava queen after all!!! LOL)
I added this in the corner with "dream" from mini journaling words...finished off with some bakers twine and a crown on the bird using a little bit of German scrap form my stash :)

I'll be back ;)
xoxo Sioux
