I have a canvas board to share with you that I decorated for this months challenge of Anything Goes. All the paints I used were tester pots from the DIY store and I loved how the canvas worked out mixing them with great stamps from The Artistic Stamper. You can find out more here.

Anything goes : let's make a tag !
First you cover with black gesso a tag you have cut out of a cereal box.
Then you colour a piece of drawing paper with sprayed distress ink.
And you stamp Artifacts - Postscript with Archival ink.
Then you hide it with a piece of paper and stamp Artifacts - Times Past
all over the paper, and ink the borders with your ink pad.
You stamp "I am... creating" from Journaling Words #5 A6
cut it out and stick it on the tag, in-between a piece of dry and used baby wipe you have torn.
The final creative touch is to stick a piece of the dry paint you collect on your colour tube...

You can be forgiven if you think that I stamped the hydrangeas on a book page, but it was actually an image transfer (or is it called a resist technique??) from a magazine page done on the gelli plate..a Birgit Koopsen special!. The image didn't come out too well so I just added some light stamping with the Tracey Scott Background 6 stamp, then stamped the flowers onto a gelli print, cut them out and stuck them onto my background, then added the sentiment, both from the Botanical 3 stamp set.

I first created two backgrounds, one slightly larger than the other with Tracy's Background 8 stamp. On the larger on I added Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and on the smaller one I added Shaded Lilac.
I mixed some texture sand paste to a smearing of Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and made another batch with worn Lipstick Distress Ink and mixed on to a craft mat. I added the two mixes to a separate piece of card. When it had dried, I tore a piece of the card and added it to the background.
I then coloured a another piece of card with the Seedless Preserves ink and stamped Neil's Heart stamp on to the card, then cut them out and adhered the hearts over the top of the textured card.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.
We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

I made a card using Distress Oxides , which I spritzed, and layered . I added Backgrounds from Tracy Scott,  a calligraphy mat and a border from  Borders 1 . The words are some of my favourites, and come from Creative Art thoughts

I had fun creating this tag for this months challenge, using Distress Ink and Distress Oxides along with Secret KeysTreasured Memories and Neil Walkers Butterfly stamps from The Artistic Stamper.

JANE

Distress inks and oxides and tags...oh my!!!. Distressed!!!....definitely de-stressed...while playing with my distress inks and oxides to tie in with this months "distressed" challenge.
I started by using the fabulous distress oxides on my tag, then stamped the hydrangeas and the sentiment from the BOTANICAL stamp set, then mounted it on  an oxide spritzed piece of craft card. I even distressed the edges of the card stock!!.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

I used a Canvas, and added  Gesso, with  Acrylic paints, the contents of a Jamboree Bag, some Tissue paper, and Grunge paste. The canvas was painted and stamped with The Artistic Stamper Stencils, and Artistic Stamper Stamps.

Jennie

I challenged myself to decorate a teabag. This was brand new one that I got from online. I used Distress Oxides only in blue, and stamped one of Tracy Scott's new backgrounds , also in blue. I then added the girl from Garden Plate onto another tea bag and glued her on. A bit of PaperArtsy paint and sparkle was added to the image.

To make this blue card, you will use your small gelli plate as an inker with 2 tones of blue and 1 black acrylic paint that you will randomly mix.
First you stamp the "Thank You" Artifacts stamp.
Then you hide it with a piece of paper and spread paint on to the background
with your brayer.
Final touch : you stamp Butterflies of 2 different sizes and ink the borders with your brayer.
I will show you other samples made with these beautiful Artifacts stamps later in the month.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

I have made a super mini book (5x8 cm) book to share with you all as my inspirational piece for this months challenge. The base was some cereal packaging and some small cards I was given, I decorated these with Jennie's wonderful stamps and a mask, with a super sneaky peek of an exciting upcoming release, please pop over to my blog for more details and drop me a comment let me know what you think.

and of course, the stamp that's coming soon

Hands up all of you who have a huuuuge pile of backgrounds that you have made, either gelli prints or stamped or stencilled, or any other technique, just waiting for the right project to use it on...!!!!....I thought so...sooo that's most of us then!!!....Well...you are in for a treat when you see the new stamps that The Artistic Stamper are launching, and here is a sneak peek of one of them that I have used to make the background for my card. I simply added a butterfly from the INSECTS AND BUTTERFLIES stamp set, then added a sentiment. Somebody stop me from using this background stamp....cos my pile is twice as high now!!!!!

I had great fun with this piece, using Distress Oxides, an Artistic Stamper stencil ( small dots)  and a very small sneaky peek of one  of the new stamps coming your way this month. I added a quote to the piece, inking in Distress Oxide.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

April's Creative Challenge - The Birds & the Bees

Hi!
Welcome to the April challenge. Almost summer (well ok it's a while away, but the daffodils are coming up, and the birds have taken up singing, so what better time than to welcome the good weather than with a challenge using birds and bees. It can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamps on it.

Thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge. Gorgeous entries :)

To make this strange bird, I have used a tin cap, a drink can, a piece of drawing paper, and an old necklace.
I have glued a piece of a page of magazine on to the tin cap, then stamped the Junior Bird size 70mm x 50mm ©Neil Walker with black Archival ink : head to the drawing paper and the tail twice on the can I had first opened. Then I cut out the watercoloured head and the 2 tails I have used as wings. I sticked all parts (head, wings, necklace to represent the legs) with hot glue.

I used a background stamp, a calligraphic mat and the lovely free as a bird stamps set along with some PaperArtsy paints to create this tag, Pop over to my blog for more details.

Lisa

I used the Honeycomb Background stamp with Distress Inks to create the background. Then used the same stamp stamped in black ink and coloured with Distress Inks to create the top layer. I applied 6 layers of clear embossing powder over the top then cracked the embossed layer to create texture. I cut in to 1 inch sections and mounted on to black card.
I then stamped one of the bees in the stamp set, fussy cut and stuck with 3D foam dots. To finish I added a sticker sentiment.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

March Creative Challenge - Stencils & Masks

Hi!
Welcome from a snowy Kent, and this is the first day of Spring!  A Big thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge. We always appreciate it when you join in , and the entries were fabulous.
March's challenge is Stencils & Masks, and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has a stencil or mask in it.

To join in with this challenge (we are limiting the challenge entries to 3 per person), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge.

Well....I have just had too much fun playing with my stencils, my gelli plate, and my glass paints, to create this card. I started with a gelli plate print using several stencils, then used the HARLEQUIN MASK and the SMALL DOTS MASK on the top layer with gesso and added a bit of doodling with a white posca pen, then added the sentiment.
For the top layer I traced the outline of the flower from the fabulous A4 DOG ROSE STENCIL onto a piece of white paper, then traced it with cerne relief onto a piece of acetate, I then used the pebeo vittrail glass paints to colour in the flower to give a stained glass effect, I attached it to my card by folding the top part of the acetate over the top of the card and attaching it with red tape.

I used the Daffodils stencil from Lesley Matthewson, as my main stencil. Colour the tag with Distress oxides, and use the Small Dots stencil to add texture to the background. I then used the daffodil stencil, coloured it in with yellow shades of Distress Oxides, and added clear modelling paste through it. As it goes on it draws the oxides through it to colour it.  Photographed in the snow just because I could!
We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

This card is to wish you a very happy and creative year !

Just like I did last year, I have used the Decay stamps to make it :
Alphabet, upper and lower cases stamped and embossed,
and Journaling stamped with my Gelli Plate @ Gelli Arts®

Jennie
I have made an ATC to welcome in the New Year. I used Artifacts Daisy Chain, and white embossed it , and then added Distress Oxides over the embossing and wiped them off to reveal the white.
My new year's resolution is to use up some of my stash, so the numbers came from a packet of chip that I already had! Happy New Year to you xx

I made some Thank You cards to give to the kind people who bought me gifts for Christmas. I started by making an A4 masterboard using paints, the SMALL DOTS MASK, the CALLIGRAPHY MAT 12, and the GRID BACKGROUND stamps. I then cut my masterboard up into little squares and stamped the small butterfly from the INSECTS AND BUTTERFLIES stamp set and a thank you sentiment to finish off. Happy New Year to you all and Keeeeeeeep Crafting !!!

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

December's Creative Challenge - Christmas

Hi
A Big thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge. Amazing Creativity!
This month's challenge is Christmas and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamping in it.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .

In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook!

To join us on just go to our new Facebook group, and send us a request to join..  There will be a prize for the Facebook challenge, as well as the blog challenge!
And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice! To get you started here are creations from some of the team....and please give a big shout out to our two new team members, Lisa and Jane

Soooooo.....it's the Christmas countdown, so that means doing the two things that I love, making cards, and drinking!!... (sometimes doing both at the same time!!) !!
For my first team card I started with a piece of sheet music...We Three Kings Of Orient Are...which is apt because I have used three of the crowns from the Crowning Glory stamp set to depict the three wise men, I have also used the Swirl Mask and the sentiment is from the Christmas Greetings #2 set.
For more info on how I did this card, it would be great if you visited my blog.

My first project for The Artistic Stamper comes during my favourite season, Winter. And with Winter comes Christmas.
For a more detailed look at my creation please pop over to my blog

I created a mini Christmas card using Funky Fairy and Snow Strands, embossed in silver. I added lots of glitter to her dress!

I tend to go fairly nontraditional with my Christmas decorations so when I came across a polystyrene heart in my stash I knew I was looking at my new tree decoration. I decorated the heart with acrylic paint and background stamps from The Artistic Stamper. You can pop over to my blog for more information if you like and I hope me and my teammates have inspired you to join in this months challenge.

Here is another way to use the vintage vinyl notebook you already saw
make it a Christmas present :
To make this notebook, you will use :
- 2 LPs
- 4 A4 pages you will fold in 4 and cut
- another page to stamp the image
-  Mini Christmas 2 stamp you will find on the Christmas Stamps page

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

Have a very creative and festive month
