Joyful Tea-light Holder by Alison

Hello Stampers! Today, I have a decorated wooden tea-light holder to share with you.

I started off by giving the tea-light holder a couple of coats of Claudine Hellmuth Studio black gesso. 

Once this was dry, I stamped the Snowflakes on all four sides & the top, with Versamark ink, then embossed with silver embossing enamel. I did it one side at a time.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stamper's Anonymous Joyful Song plate, then cut out just the word 'Joyful', to fit behind an Ideaology Ornate Plate. I coloured the image with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, glued it behind the frame, then applied a layer of Glossy Accents on the top. I set this aside to dry.

I used red line tape to stick the end of some white & silver ribbon to the front of the holder, wrapped the ribbon around, the secured the other end with more tape. I glued the Joyful frame on top of the ribbon joins, then used two small screws to secure it to the holder.

I finished off by sticking clear gems to the centres of the snowflakes.

This is a mini-album I have made during a mixed-media/cooking/photo/LOL workshop among the vineyards.
When I came back home, I was done with the structure and backgrounds, and I just had to add the various pictures and stamp prints here and there...

Here is the front page I glued a real vine leaf on :

 and the 1st page with the participants picture (and the "seize the moment" and "photograph" stamps)

I used a column top stamp as well...

and since the "architecture stamps" box was open... the statue found its place here :

We three kings...

I couple of simple cards and tags made for christmas. I used a mask of torn paper for the cards and inked up the visible area in a graduated colour tone. you can use any kind of ink.paint or chalk you like for this (maybe distress inks and a blending tool).

Once the strip of colour had been inked and it had dried, I simply stamped over with black ink using some christmas stamps.

Xmas Lady by Sioux Jenneys

Hello everyone! It's my (Sioux) turn again and I'm here to share a card :)

1. I cut a square piece of card to fit the card front and stamped the lady from the 20's number 1 plate in Archival black the snowflakes were then stamped in Distress Ink antique linen, the edges tattered and coloured with more antique linen.

2. I stamped the lady again onto patterned papers and cut out the relevant pieces needed from 
different ones. The pieces were stuck on with glossy accents.

3. I cut a poinsettia using the Alterations die from the same papers and layered up before securing them with a flower type brad. It was attached to the card using silicone glue.

4. Stamped the Seasons Greetings from mini Christmas 1 plate in Distress Ink victorian velvet.

5. Dabs of sparkly stickles were added to the snowflakes to finish.

Well that's one more Christmas card to add to my stash :) See you again soon!

HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS...by MEL HOOKHAM

...hello everyone, I'm thrilled to bits to of been asked to join The Artistic Stamper for the month of December as their Guest Designer, how awesome is that!...I hope I do Jennie and the Team proud...

...well, I don't know about you but the theme for Christmas in my home this year is HOMEMADE, and using the wonderfully versatile Tick Tock Christmas stamps here are my designs...

...I stamped the tick tock Christmas baubles onto fine weave linen using bronze & gold embossing powder and was thrilled with the results...

 ...I added silver eyelets and natural linen jute for the tie's, it's so enjoyable to make your own gift tags... 

 ...I stamped this image on Mulberry paper with black stazon and went over the outline with a sparkly silver pen, loving this image... 

 ...using the holiday wreath die from Tim Holtz I embossed in white the tick tock image  randomly, these cute little steampunk cogs & sprockets look like new-age snowflakes, just perfect for this Christmas wreath... 

 

...and Christmas isn't Christmas without a star...for this piece I inked up a sheet of paper with the tick tock image in black stazon then ripped it up randomly into pieces...I then covered the whole star using mod podge, then when dry I went over the entire star with rock candy for a bit of festive sparkle, added the banner & a brulap bow...perfect, well thats Christmas all wrapped up for me, these tick tock stamps have given a wondeful look to my homemade makes...

December Challenge ~ Home For Christmas

Hi everyone!

Another month has flown by and it's the start of a brand new challenge ~ so, welcome to a new month at The Artistic Stamper and we really hope you'll join in!!

Firstly, we would like to say thank you to everyone for all your fabulous entries that you submitted in last month's Anything Goes challenge. We had so many wonderful creative pieces from you all and were overwhelmed with the amount of entries we received. We will be announcing one very lucky winner in the next few days, so make sure you check back to see if it's you!!

During November, we had the pleasure of having the very talented Joanna King join us as our Guest Designer and on behalf of the team, Jennie and I would like to say a big thank you to Joanna, for all her hard work and for the stunning creations that she made and shared with us. In December, we're saying hello to the very lovely and extremely talented Mel Hookham, as our Guest Designer, and we're really looking forward to seeing all her gorgeous artwork, here on the blog.

The new challenge for December is HOME FOR CHRISTMAS and the whole team are looking forward to seeing all the wonderful and varied creations that you submit. To join in with this challenge is simple; make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubberstamping. Pop back here to link up using the Froggy at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge. Jennie has made a wreath for Christmas... what door isn't complete without one?

 Ink a tag using red and gold Distress Stains. Die cut Tim's Holiday Wreath, and simply add shades of Green Distress ink, with a slight dab of a metallic Distress stain. Add red stickles for berries, and a Merry Christmas stamp.
