Kat here AKA Kats craft creations
with my second project of the month, I would like to show you a tissue box today, this project is a nice thing to give as a little gift if someone is under the weather to cheer them up.
You can either buy a tissue box, take it apart & make a template
(by drawing around it & cut it 2mm larger on all sides
{leave off the bottom}
so it will slip over the top of another tissue box)
you can then keep it & always have a template ready to use,
or you can paint directly onto a tissue box
with acrylic paint & go from there.
I used a template.
Here's what I used for mine,
from my stash I used,
2 A4 sheets of brown card (for the tissue box base)
stuck together with wet glue,
3 A4 sheets of white card
(cut 4 pieces for the 4 sides,
then cut them into stamp able sized pieces as shown above,
also cut a piece of white card for the top of the tissue box
(to cut the hole out lay the base upside down onto the white card
& drew the oval through the hole & cut out with a craft knife)
TIP if you number the pieces in a top corner
on the back you will know which way round they go
because it's easy to stamp one upside down
(speaking from experience lol)
I used the Artistic Stamper backgrounds as pictured above &
All the images are stamped with Coffee archival ink
Next I blended Distress Inks Bundled Sage & Brushed Corduroy
on alternate pieces, & then edged all the pieces with Walnut Stain,
(So sorry the picture was deleted by accident)
Next I stuck the pieces onto copy paper in the right order
to get them back to 4 solid pieces,
(I edged them with the Walnut Stain so I didn't have any white edges)
Then I glued them to the base as pictured below,
On some left over scraps of white card
I stamped some Butterflies & Dragonflies,
coloured with Bundled Sage,
then embossed them with a clear powder
& attached them with silicone glue to the tissue box.
Here's a couple of close ups,
So once you have your template its an easy project to complete.
with limited stash.
Hope you like it!
I would love to read your comments
thank you Jennie & Hels again, for letting me guest design this month
I am having a ball.
I will leave you with one last picture
(I took it so I may as well use it)LOL
Thanks again,
Have a crafty day!
