FADED JEANS INSPIRED CARD

Hi all,
Kat here, AKA Kat's craft creations
For my first creation of the month I have made an 8x8 square card
inspired by a pair of old faded jeans (lol)

The design team are focusing on the fabulous
core'dinations card stock pads in the month of August.

For the background I took an 8x8 card blank,
I edged it with a silver ink pad,
I cut, then tore a piece of the core'dinations card
to fit the front, then tore some scraps to layer over the top,

I then screwed the large piece into a ball, opened it up
then sanded it back with Tim's Sanding Grip
to get the texture,
over it to fade the colour,
I then ran the scraps in various embossing folders through
my big shot machine, & sanded them back
to reveal the coloured core.

when I was happy with the positioning
& a foam mat, I pocked holes around all the torn edges
& with white embroidery thread & a needle I
hand sewed all the pieces together.

To embellish my card I used Tim's Weatherd Clock Die
& thick blue card, that I faded down with
adirondack Snow Cap ink as I did for the background
& stamped in silver over the top with the
(hard to see on the finished card photo)
here's a close up.

I then coloured a piece of scrap card with
& stamped the lady off Collage Art 1 stamp plate
in Black Shoot Distress Ink & cut her out
I added the crown off the Crowning Glory stamp plate
as her finishing touch,

I then stamped the wording with Scrabble & Tags A4 stamp plate
cut them out and stuck them down as shown.

To finish off I added metal butterflies (from an old necklace)
& a couple of metal buttons.

That's it,
Hope you like it!

have a creative day,
catch you next time,
Kat x.
