Alison stamped the Lace Background with spiced marmalade Distress Stains, then clear embossed it. Faded jeans & dusty concord distress stains were then blended over the top. She stamped the Lacy Border onto card coloured with distress stains. The main image & words are from the Nudes Plate. The seam binding was also coloured with distress stains.

Emma used Distress Inks on a Ranger tag and then stamped the background with several background stamps and one element from the Stars Plethora stamp. The Mabel Lucie Attwell image was stamped onto a separate piece of card, coloured, cut out and then layered onto the tag. Finally, the "Fun" and "Laughter" words, taken from the "Into Each Day..." stamp were added, together with some seam binding and buttons.

Sioux used nearly every background stamp she posseses to make some windmills.

Jennie has made a wooden bird using the calligraphic mat background, and the full instructions on how to make it are on her blog, which also includes a great blog hop today!

I made a tag using yummy Distress Inks - blending them over a manila tag and really working the inks into the surface. I over stamped with the Distressed Background stamp and Perfect Pearls Mists (more about this technique later in the month!) and then I used the Mini Polka Dot to overstamp this. I used the crowns from Crowning Glory to add interest down the side of the tag... and then I made a Grungepaper rose, using the large Flower Power stamp ... and again using the Mini Polka Dot stamp, adding Tattered Leaves using Forest Moss and Olive Archival to add the Grid background stamp. A few bits of Idea-ology, a couple of crystal pins and a word stamp finished the tag.

Thanks for looking!! TTFN

  5. Fabulous challenge! I just love making the backgrounds by myself (or maybe it is just the low student's budget that forces me into that)
