September Challenge ~ Splatters and Speckles

Hi everyone!! Can you believe that we're already in September...where has this year gone?? But because it's a new month, it's also the start of a brand new challenge ~ so, welcome and we really hope you'll join in!!

As you all know we celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog, last month and we were overwhelmed by all the comments that you left and on behalf of the whole team, I would like to say a big THANK YOU!! The lucky winners will be announced on the 7th September, so make sure you check back to see if it's you!!!

We would also like to say thank you to everyone for all your fabulous entries that you submitted to last month's Holidays challenge. We had so many wonderful creative pieces from you all and we will be announcing one very lucky winner in the next few days, so make sure you check back to see if it's you!!

Last month we had the pleasure of having the very talented Marjie Kemper join us as our Guest Designer and on behalf of the team, Jennie and I would like to say a thank you to Marjie, for all your hard work and for the stunning creations that you made and shared with us. In September, we have the lovely Lori Hassler as our Guest Designer, and we're really looking forward to seeing all her gorgeous artwork, here on the blog.

This month, we are going to be saying a sad goodbye to the lovely Kat who as one of our very talented Creative Team members will be sadly missed for her gorgeous innovative artwork, and her inspiration using our stamps and also, her own collection that was launched earlier this year. We wish Kat the very best in life and I'm sure whatever she does, it will be a huge success!

The new challenge for September is SPLATTERS AND SPECKLES. To join in with this challenge is simple; make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubberstamping. Pop back here to link up using the Froggy at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge. As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive £15 worth of The Artistic Stamper stamps of your choice plus the Kling On to mount them onto. And don't forget....if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice!!!!

If you do need any inspiration, then look no further than our Creative Team's stunning creations for this month's challenge.

TITBELSOEUR:
This tiny notebook is fully made with recycled stuff : the cover is a toilet paper roll, the pages come from an old school notebook, the ribbon comes from a cloth (you know, those that are sewn into the shoulders to keep the garment on a hanger, and if you don't remove them at best they are beyond the neckline, at worst you get strangled with... isn't it better to cut and use these to assemble your notebook ?), paperbeads from a book and real ones from an old necklace... and what is not recycled is the fabulous stamp from the Journaling Words plate :

ASTRID
For my piece I created a little tag and holder. These are the stamps I used: Swirls, Splats and DotsStipple;

ALISON
Hi Everyone, I used watered down Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints to create some splatters on a white card base. I used the Roses Are Red Plate to create wording & the heart, & the word 'love' from the Journaling Words No. 1 Plate. The heart is stamped onto thick card, a layer of Rock Candy Crackle added, coloured with red pepper Alcohol Ink, black soot Distress Stain, then a final double layer of clear UTEE. I finished the card with some silver thread.

We hope you will join in with this month's challenge and we're really looking forward to seeing your interpretation of our theme and all your amazing creations and artwork. Please, don't forget to add a comment when you post your entry.

I hope you all have a happy and very creative month.
See you soon...
