September's Creative Challenge-Things with Wings

Hi !
Welcome to the Creative Team blog for the month of September. I hope you have had a good summer.
This month the creative challenge theme is Things with Wings.

We are  looking forward to seeing all your artwork and stamped projects that you submit in relation to this theme. To join in with this challenge (and you can join in as many times as you want), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge. As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive £15 worth of The Artistic Stamper stamps of your choice. And don't forget....if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice!!!! You can also enter as many times as you like!

The team have independently chosen the same stamp set to make their creations, and not one of us knew which stamp set each other were using! Check out the different takes on it!

Distress Ink background over Versamark resist, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits - Mixed media and spiral flowers, Stamps used Dance A5 and Simple Swirls

Acrylic paint as a background, covered by a slight coat of gesso. Gesso cleaned with a baby wipe through Flowers & Leaves long  @ Artistic Stamper Masks
Word Mask 6 x 6 @ Artistic Stamper Masks
butterfly from Butterflies #2 @ Butterflies & Birds and "free as a bird" quote from Fly size A6 @ Katy Leitch stamped with Cobalt Archival
Dancer (with Cobalt Archival) and wings (with French Ultramarine Archival) from Dance A5 @ Dance stamped on a cardboard, cut out and glued on to the page.

I used an already created tag which was inked with Distress ink, and some embossing powder througha stencil. The ballerina from the stamp set Dance was cut out and Distress inked with Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon. The wongs were cut out from old dictionary paper, and lightly distress inked. I added fine netting as a skirt.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge and look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.
I will be back in a couple of days with the winner of last month's Challenge.
Have a very creative month
{hugs}
Jennie
