Little altered plaque.

 
This months challenge theme is "Alter something". So I have altered one of the little "Papier Mache" Icon plaques. this is the smaller of the two.

Firstly I covered the little plaque with some card that had been embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I used the script from the Paris and script set which is the first set shown on this page HERE:


I coloured the embossed card with some paints and gilding wax. I stamped out the clock dial  (from the tick tock set) and the 'carpe diem' (from the journaling words 3) on to card i had stained with distress stains and perfect pearl mists. i then coated them with glossy accents. the rest was just glueing and assembling.the faucet knob and key are both from the "fixings" section of Tim Holtz supplies and can be found HERE.

Gorgeous piece, love the patina effect and the many embellishments. Love the idea of using wire for the stamped clock, clever!
