Daisy by Siobhan Brignull

So my Daisy layout is inspired by a video I saw by Tracy Scott at Creativation 2019.

I loved the simplicity of it and decided to recreate as a journal page, with some extra bits thrown in.
.

finger painting a la Tracy

I then added these steps to add some more depth as I was doing a journal page not a card.
I used archival ink and two of Tracy's background stamps from The Artistic Stamper and then some background stamps from The Artisitic Stamper, Floral Open Background and Mini Background No 3.

base coat and some infusions

The finished flowers, surprising simple to do, as long as you can remember which way you had the stencil, as you added each layer.

So there we go my Daisy Journal page inspired by the fabulous Tracy Scott.

If friends were flowers....

Hi there you lovely crafty people. Please forgive me for my lateness in posting my work to this blog today, when I tell you why I am late, you will all understand why!!...you see...I was cleaning...and very painfully de-cluttering my craft room, well...as you all know, it is like Christmas again as I discovered things that I totally forgot I had ever had, oh the joy, mind you, the de-cluttering is not going very well....a couple of scraps of paper have gone in the bin...and taken back out again...twice!!..before I got my brutal head on and reminded myself....IT IS JUST PAPER!! Anyway I have had a fabulous day.
Now onto my card that I have made for this months "Anything goes" challenge.

I did the background with the A4 SWIRL  and the SEQUIN WASTE OPEN background stamp.
I actually did the flower on another project by stenciling the DOG ROSE with modelling paste, but hated it on the background, so I cut it out and stuck it onto this project, then finished off with the from the BOTANICAL 3 stamp set.
Happy crafting to you all, hope to see you in the Anything Goes challenge.

Other Butterfly cards by Titbelsoeur

Hi there !
Still having fun with this new Large Butterfly stamp, I have made 2 cards using 2 quotes from Quotes & Sayings 1 by Debs Smith.
I wanted to make a very light background, since I am sure that simple ones are great for these big and so detailed stamps :

I have stamped the quotes directly on the cards.
Here is a good means to make nice stampings very easily and use them to make cards, or in little frames, or art journal pages...

I hope my project gives you inspiration to participate in our

New Year, New Creative Challenge- Anything Goes

for 3 chances to win !

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Bye for now and happy creating.

January Blues by Siobhan

Hello

Its that awful post christmas time, when all you can see is household jobs that need doing and all you want to do is hibernate in your craft space.

Well I sneaked some me time and made a simple little card, which I think is quite striking and also has loads of potential for other crafty projects.

So first of all I chose three toning colours from my Paper Artsy paint collection, then I measured and masked off the three panels. I did two layers of paint to get a more intense colour, but looking at it now, I think three might have been better. Once dry I added a simple silver line to the outer edges.
I then stamped my favourite butterfly stamp, from the Tick Tock set, (the reason I love it, is it's a blank canvas so you can make the wings hold whatever pattern you want), I used the hexagon background stamp (another great set, well worth investing in as it contains four different backgrounds) and then coloured in a few hexagons with toning pencils. I attached to the card and added a transfer sentiment from my collection.

and here are the products I used.

So Happy New Year everyone and I hope you also find some me time to craft in.

A Fond Farewell...

Hello lovelies, Lisa here and here's to a happy new year for 2019. Wow - 2019!!!!
However, for me, the start of 2019 is slightly bitter sweet as I have decided to leave the team at The Artistic Stamper.

As the saying goes, "I've got a bit too much on my plate" to continue at the moment and there just isn't enough days in the week! So after having a chat with the lovely Jennie, she asked if I would do one last 'going-out' post for the team.

I have loved every minute being on the team and I will of course miss the fabulous ladies but I am sure I will continue to check in on the amazing creations they come up with.

So here is my last creation...

First, I stamped some pumice stone oxide and spun sugar oxide distress inks on to my craft mat, sprayed with water and smooshed white card through it.

I then used The Artistic Stamper 3 x 3 chevron stencil and the 3 x 3 harlequin stencil with the same oxide inks to add some pattern to the background.

I stamped two of the butterflies from The Artistic Stamper A5 insects and butterflies stamp set with grey ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, fussy cut the butterflies and inked them with spun sugar oxide ink.

I stamped the Butterfly Words stamp on to white card, distressed the edges and inked the edges with spun sugar oxide ink. Then mounted it on to a bigger piece of card which I again distressed the edges and inked with pumice stone oxide ink.

To finish, I matted the background on to a bigger piece of card which I had inked around the edges with the grey oxide ink. I placed the sentiment on to the card then added the butterflies, just in the centre to allow the wings to stick up.

Thank you so much for popping by The Artistic Stamper blog today.
And hopefully, I will see you around blog land...

Here is everything I used which is available on The Artistic Stamper website.

Butterfly cards by Titbelsoeur

First of all, I wish you all a very happy and creative year, that all your dreams become real !
I have used these new stamps to make nice cards : Butterfly Trellis © Neil Walker et Butterfly Square © Neil Walker
How I made them :
I have made the background applying acrylic paint on a scrap of watercolor paper with a baby wipe, and made some splats with the leftover paints.
Then I stamped treillis and square with Archival ink and highlighted some lines with a white pen. Cut them out and sticked to cardboard folded in 2 to make special cards, one of them sent for a happy birthday, hoping she received it on time !
Et voilà !

I hope my project gives you inspiration to participate in our

New Year, New Creative Challenge- Anything Goes

for 3 chances to win !

Thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge, gorgeous creations :)

This month the theme is Anything Goes and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamps on it. To join in with this challenge (we are limiting the challenge entries to 3 per person), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .
In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook! There is no prize on there, it's just for fun!
To join us on just go to our new Facebook group, and send us a request to join..
And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice!

Jennie
To get you started I have created variations on a theme using postcards as the substrate, and my gel plate. I used a stencil from PaperArtsy's designer, Sara Naumann , plus stencils from The Artistic Stamper  I also used a calligraphic mat stamp to add more, and stickers and our number stencil from my stash for the year. Paint used was Amsterdam Acrylics . Which is your favourite?

Siobhan

So for January's challenge of Anything Goes, I decided to make some nice bright tags to start 2019, I used Paper Artsy Fresco's and stamps and stencils from The Artistic Stamper.
stamps used Chicken Wire, Mini polka dot, Tick tock butterflies and Family Values, masks used mini large dot and Pattern 2 by Lesley Matthewson.
