I know that I am!!! I am not claiming to be some kind of superwoman, but when I look back at what I have achieved, and pretty much on my own with not a lot of help from anybody else, (my hardest problem is asking for help!!).. I think I have done amazing...so there you are!!....I am going to celebrate the magic that is me, and all you fabulous females out there.

Creative flag by Titbelsoeur

Hello there, I hope you are having a good Summer time, though I also hope you take some time to view our CT makes !
Here is a flag and here is how I made it :

The support is a notebook page I have torn. I sticked on it some pieces of an old letter, a dictionary page and a negative. Then I stamped some of the Mini Backgrounds # 2 size A6 MIni Backgrounds # 3 size  A6  and Mini Backgrounds #1 size A6 , and the Creative 4.5 cm word.

I added 3 mini-tags I had stamped 2 of them

and I added the female touch with Gibson Girls, one stamped on the mini-tag and the other one on to a tea bag

Sweet and Simple by Siobhan

Love this stamp from The Artistic Stamper, its taken from the wall in the studio.  Decided to keep it simple, used Ken Oliver color burst to make a simple background, then stamped in black, used a white pen to add some highlights and then a quick spray of Dylussions Turquoise mica spray to add some glimmer.

Life is a bowl of cherries by Angie Coomber

Life is a bowl of cherries

Hello!

Today I have created a journal page for you, using one of my favourite techniques. I have seen different people use different variations of this, so I'm not sure if it should be attributed to anyone in particular!

To start with I use some washi tape to define the area I'm going to work on.

The next step is to add some stencilling, and I find that 3 is a good number.

For this page I used 2 shades of green as well as yellow.

Then I added some background stamping - again, 3 is a magic number. The stamps I used are some of the Tracy Scott background stamps and a script stamp.

I love the combination of green/turquoise and rust, so I splattered some diluted quinacridone gold paint over the page and sprayed on some water to further dilute the colour.

I used the circular background stamp to stamp onto some gelli print paper and cut out the circles, then glued some of them onto the page.

I also cut some strips from an old book page and adhered these to the washi tape.

To complete the page I added some turquoise dots (using a Lego brick), a Tim Holtz paper doll with some gold thread behind her, and a quote at the bottom.

I hope she makes you smile!
Until next time,

Hugs,
Angie x

CURVES by Jane

I think circles are probably every crafters favourite shape, I know they are mine!!. I have a gazillion different stamps and stencils that are relating to circles in some way or another, I just cannot resist them. So I was happy when these gorgeous new midi background stamps designed by Tracy Scott landed on my mat, they are available from the 8th of July.

To make this card, I did a colourful background using another Tracy Scott stamp..BACKGROUND #6     then stamped over it using one of Tracys new midi stamps. I made a mask by stamping and cutting out one of the statues from the ARCHITECTURE 3 stamp set, placed it on my background and blacked out the rest, then stamped over the black with the same midi stamp set and white gesso. The word "curves" is also taken from the architecture stamp set.
I am really looking forward to seeing your art in this months "Celebrating Women" challenge.

July's Creative Challenge - Celebrating Women

Hi!
Welcome to our challenge for the month of July.
Thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge. We loved all of your creations.
This month the theme is Celebrating Women and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamps on it. To join in with this challenge (we are limiting the challenge entries to 3 per person), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .
In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook! There is no prize on there, it's just for fun!
To join us on just go to our new Facebook group, and send us a request to join..
And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice!

So, I love those collage stamps you can get, and decided to try and make my own collage using just The Artistic Stamper stamps and stencils. After a couple of practices I realised all black stamping did not work, so decided to add some muted stencilling using Iced Spruce from Tim Holtz Distress Oxide first, then my focal image in black. I added more stamping bit by bit using grey, black and iced spruce to create depth. I am quite pleased with the result, although I did use very roughly gessoed background, so didn't get really crisp images, but hey it is all a learning curve.

I used a lot of different stamps so here is a photo of what I used.

Jennie
I have created another postcard in my series of postcards, this time using some new, yet to be released stamps ( in the background) , and an old favourite of mine, the four ladies from Garden Plate 1. The background is a gel print, using the new stamps, and Amsterdam paints. Love my Gel Plate
I added the women to another piece of gel printed paper, and stitched around the edge. My sewing machine was playing havoc with me, so the stitching isn't perfect :(
Looking forward to seeing your creations.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.
We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.
Happy Creating
