Note Books by Gemma

Today I have a couple of notebooks to share with you all, I made the covers from chipboard, the pages inside are cut from kraft file sheets that have been glued together along the spine.

I used sponges to apply Dylusion paints to an A3 sheet of pearlescent card. I applied two layers of these pants and let them dry, as I used Dylusions paints it dried very quickly.

I then laid the Swirl mask over the top moving it around and sponging the same colours through it until I was happy. Once that layer was dry I laid the Petal mask over the top and sprayed white paint through it.

I cut chipboard to size for the front, back and spine of the book, glueing them into place onto the A3 sheet of card, before cutting the card down and folding over the sides. At this time I also punched holes into the covers so I could attach some ribbon as a closure.

To finish the cover I added the ribbon and glued a piece of card to the inside of the cover, as well as stamping and glueing the words into place. Then I cut craft card down to the size needed for the pages and glued them all together along the spine before glueing them into the book

A Girly Card - well sort of.. by Debs

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the sun as much as i am.

With the sun, comes nice and bright cheery colours and i really made the most of them on this card.

I used some watercolour paper as my substrate and added dark and light pink, and orange paints randomly over each other until i was happy, making a few circles of paint with my fingers as i went along.  I used Amsterdam paints but any acrylic will work.

Over the top of the main body of pain i stamped the mini hexagon and dots background stamps using both pink paints
and black ink.  I also popped some paint through a couple of stencils as well, and then did the same thing over a small tag.  Before i painted the tag i added some of the wonderful washi tape that is currently in stock. I also used an old credit card with the light pink to add some marks and also  using the calligraphy mat 11 stamped with the light pink paint.

I finished off the tag by adding Trish Latimers World Girl One and used the same colours to colour her in.

I shall look forward to seeing your creations after all there is still a week left so plenty of time, if you haven't entered already!
Happy crafting
Debs

Undergrowth mood by Titbelsoeur

Hello happy crafters !
Today I wanted to test dioramas. I have covered the one I made with a magazine picture of undergrowth to give a background to my Mushrooms A5 Plate © Tit Belsoeur
I have stamped the mushroom on a bristol page so that it is strong enough. And I have colored them with Promarkers for bright colors. Stuck them with adhesive foam pads to create depth.

And here they are in the undergrowth mood... I am considering to make others with different moods, I will let you know... stay tuned !

Winged Heart by Gemma

I have a small piece to share with you today, made on a  chipboard base. later I will use it as the front of a book.

I collected some bits and pieces from my stash that I felt went well together.

I coated everything with a layer of gesso and then I painted the wings, heart and board with different colours of Dylusions paint.

Once those layers were dry. I stamped onto the orange piece with the large dotty background stamp and Versa Mark ink. I then sprinkled black embossing powder over the top and melted it using a heat tool, I also heat embossed the word peace with the same black embossing powder. At the same time, I glued a small bit of dried wet wipe behind the heart.

Before glueing all the pieces together I painted the small bird, edged it with gold and stamped the word smile in the middle from Framed Words #1. I also stamped onto the wings with a calligraphy mat and paint.

Thanks for Reading

I'm not weird by Angie

Hi everyone!
In keeping with this month' challenge, "Winged things", I decided to make a postcard.

I started by applying some Distress Oxides on a postcard sized piece of card, as well as adding more through Artistic Stamper Mini Masks.

I'm a big fan of digital downloads as well as anything weird and wonderful so I chose an image from my collection. I added some black shading around the image with a water soluble pencil and a water brush.

Next I stamped one of the Artistic Stamper butterflies onto a mop up page, cut out the wings and glued them behind the boy.

I did some gold embossing around the edge as well as a little bit of cobweb embossing, using the Artistic Stamper cobweb stamp.

I used a small piece of washi tape to ground the image and finished the card off by typing a quote, cutting it out and gluing it on.

Hope you like it!

Light my Fire Tag By Debs

For this tag i used Dylusions Sprays, Lesley Matthewson Flowers and leaves Long Stencil, Mini Chevron and harlequin masks Swirls and Splats A5 Stamps to create the background and then the Dance plate using one of the large dancers and some wings!!  Well the challenge does say it can be interpreted any way we like ;)  The sentiment is also from the Dance Plate.

Jennie
My wings challenge took a similar vein to Debs's and I chose one of the Gibson Girls and gave her wings from a Dragonfly! I used a grunge paste background through a stencil with Distress Oxides inks on top, and then added the girl to it.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.

Have a very creative month

Hugs
