Tag by Siobhan

This week I decided to make a tag, I absolutely love this lady stamp from the Faces 2 collection.

I started off by using Rose and Pixie Dust from the PaperArtsy Fresco paints and blended them to create a vignette effect, then I used a random dottty background stamp in pixie dust to extend the middle panel out, then using open flowers background stamp I stamped on the Rose paint in Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, I stamped my lady stamp in Black Archival, used a white signo pen to highlight some of the flowers and then edged the tag with Vintage Photo and Victorian Velvet DI.
Using words from the Framed Words 1 set, I mounted them on a bit of gold matte card to make them stand out and then finally I dove into my box of odds and ends Die Cuts for some additional decoration.

I tend to do a lot of die cutting in one session and then I've got a selection to choose from when I need it, rather than having to get everything out every time, I find a limited choice is quicker than too much choice

Grandma Jane

I have named this post "Grandma Jane" because I think I am gonna turn this card into a journal front and fill it with lovely memories of me with my two beautiful Grandchildren. I so wish I had written down all the funny things Jack has said to me, and I can only remember a couple now...grrrr, but I am gonna start from now, Billy cant talk yet, but if he is as funny as his brother then boy oh boy..it will be a best seller!!.
Anyway, onto my card, this started as one of those gelli prints you do and love it so much that you are scared to ruin it!!, but I am glad I carried on, it looks very yellow in this picture, but believe me it is very green. with a bit of stamping added, it turned a gelli print that I really liked into a card (or journal front) I love.

The two stamp sets that I have used are:

Hope this inspires you to join in our "Go Green" challenge.

Thank you tag by Titbelsoeur

Hello there, I want to show you today a Thank-You tag I have made for a friend of mine who reads a lot of books. I have first stamped this beautiful Butterfly from Butterflies 2 size A5 on the piece of paper I had first coloured in pink with Distress ink. Then I stamped Artifacts - Thank you Text with various Archival inks. When I have sticked the paper to the tag, I have embossed the Butterfly on the edges.

I hope my tag gives you inspiration to participate in our

for 3 chances to win Artistic Samper stamps !
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Your comments are very much appreciated here, on my blog
Bye for now and happy creating.

Quick card by Siobhan

Ok well it's a quickish card, once I'd done the background.

I was playing around with my gelli plate and the circle mask from The Artistic Stamper, and once I started I couldnt stop, checkout all the prints I made.

I also had an idea of printing directly to a card blank and this is how my card came about.

I just stamped "Donna's Youth is a Gift" stamp onto card trimmed it out and stuck it on, I like the sixties sort of vibe it has.

Jane's Junk Journal

Hi Guys.  I am still addicted to my journal making, so I took the opportunity to do a green journal, literally and figuritively!!. I have been wanting to do a junk journal for a while now, so have been collecting used envelopes, junk mail, bits of odd paper,etc... I see plenty on pinterest, and youtube, and they all look amazing, but I have to say that mine just looks like a collection of rubbish at the moment..thank heavens for gesso!!!
Anyway, the challenge this month is "go green", and so I have done my journal cover in mainly green inks, with plenty of Artistic Stamper products.

For the background I started with the CALLIGRAPHY MAT 12 and the SEQUIN WASTE OPEN stamps. then I used the A4 SWIRL MASK with texture paste. Then the two dragonflies are from the INSECTS & BUTTERFLIES set, then finally a bit of texture from one of the stamps from the MINI BACKGROUNDS set.
How will you interpret our challenge for this month?...I look forward to seeing your creations.

March's Creative Challenge - Colour it Green

Welcome to our challenge for the month of March.
Thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge.
We loved all the entries.
This month the theme is Colour it Green  and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamps on it. To join in with this challenge (we are limiting the challenge entries to 3 per person), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .
In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook! There is no prize on there, it's just for fun!
To join us on just go to our new Facebook group, and send us a request to join..
And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice!

Siobhan

So Green is the Colour, and though I am a proud St Patrick's day baby I decided to used Neil Walkers Butterfly stamp and a selection of green papers from my stash, to create a paper pieced project.
For more information on how I did this project, checkout my blog

I have made another postcard ( this years challenge for myself :)  I used lots of different greens from the Tim Holtz Oxide Distress range, and added layers with some of The Artistic Stamper stencils. The Gibson girl was coloured with Distress Oxides, and the wings are a pair of our Flourish stamps , which one of my customers pointed out looked like wings! Spot the mistake! The sticker is one of Tim Holtz's.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.
We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.
Happy Creating
