T.T.F.N by jane

For my final project, not just for this months challenge, but for my term on The Artistic Stamper Team, I have chosen to do something similar to a project I made that was featured in The Craft Stamper magazine a while back. This starts off life as an Eileen Hull treasure box, and after a few distressing techniques and some stamping with the SKELETON LEAVES stamp set, a couple of half beads for feet, I have made myself a little box to fill with whatever I choose.

If I had to choose my favourite make from all the ones I have done while being on the team I would have to say it is this card, that I actually framed and is sitting on my lovely table surrounded by lots of photos of my two gorgeous grandsons.

So all that is left now is to say a huge thank you to Jennie for having me on her team, I have thoroughly enjoyed it and loved seeing all your fabulous creations. Keeeeep Crafting, and I will see you all round social media and blogland. Ta Ta for now.

Framed!..by Jane

I am proud to say that every piece of work that is framed in my house is work that I have done, yes, mainly cross stitch  that I have done years ago, a  couple of paintings that I am quite proud of,  a painting that my Grandchild did, oh and one from Cuba that is a fantastic impasto painting of Che Guevara). So for this months in the home" challenge I have painted a ...erm....its not a frame, it is the part that goes inside the frame to frame your artwork, but my mind has gone blank as to what it is called, is it the apperture?. 

Anyway, I started by painting it silver, then stamped and embossed the GEARS BACKGROUND in places, 

I then added some rust effect with paints and  grit paste, I mean...who doesn't love a bit of rust!!

For this months new challenge I have decided to do a project that my very good friend will be happy about!!...candles!!..she is obsessed with buying candles, so I thought I would decorate one for her and give it to her as a present. I stamped some circles from the DECAY JOURNALING stamp set, then more stamping from the GRID BACKGROUND and the CALLIGRAPHY MAT 12 stamps.

i then spritzed it with different inks and then transferred this to my candle using wax paper. I love it and will be doing more for presents.

Hello everyone, Titbelsoeur here with a Home-sweet-home card for you !
You know how I love Architecture stamps, mostly door ones. And I also love the Harlequin Backgrounds stamp from the Mini Backgrounds # 2 size A6 plate, I have then used 2 of my favourite stamps to make this card. I have stamped Harlequin with Distress ink that I have spritzed with water to have this watercolour effect. And I have painted the door with watercolours. Home Sweet Home A5 © Kathleen Fullman as a sentiment, some black pen lines on the edges... Et voilà !

Hello, I'm Karen and I feel so honored to have been asked to contribute to this months challenge reveal post.  The July theme, "In the Home" seems so fitting as most of us have been isolating at home due to the pandemic.   Hopefully, my bright little neighborhood card will lift your spirits just a little.  Good Luck & Happy Crafting!

Directions:

To create more layers for added dimension, separate the roof and chimney from the house and mount with foam tape.   Next, use a craft knife to slice around the door so that it opens and hinges on one side.  By selectively cutting into the spiral rose background design, I carefully cut a shape to resemble a cloud and a single rose stamped in yellow for the sun. 

Supplies:
ink pads (black, shades of blue, yellow)
watercolor paper
water mister
watercolor crayons
paint brush
craft knife
permanent black marker
black card base (5x7")

Hey You!..by Jane

For this card I have tried to emulate the kind of patterns that you would see in the 1970s. I wish that had been my era, I loved the fashion, the colour combinations, but mostly the music, when I hear a bit of T.Rex, The Osmonds, Roy Orbison....Oooohhhh. LOL, are some of you reading this and saying "Who?" ....hee hee. Anyway here is my card..

For this months "Retro" challenge, I have made a card using retro 70s style taking inspiration of the colours from that time, which were lots of brown, beige, and turquoise. I used to absolutely hate this kind of combination and style, but, now I love it, oh the beautiful wallpapers and shirts with their bold shapes, and symmetrical lines, just gorgeous.

For this project I started by making a Masterboard, Retro style and a Retro technique.I stamped the cogs using Vaseline Petroleum Jelly which makes a great ghosting resist.Next add the oxide inks to your craft mat and pick up the colours drying between shades and stamp more of the cogs until the design is complete. Fold the card blank to make a Z fold and cut the pieces to size.

Stamp the 'Girl with Clock' on a piece of the Masterboard and a piece of white card. Colour the skin areas on the white card cutting away this section on the patterned card and layer the two sections.

I've used the 'Stitches' Stamp to create a border, adding a few stitches of my own with a fine line pen and then layered everything and included a sentiment from the 'Journaling words set 2'.A few enamel dots complete the design.

After The Lunch by Jane

Hi all. I have started doing a journal of a collection of a few of my favourites.... verses, poems, quotes, sayings, passages from books that I like...etc. well, my absolute favourite piece of poetry is one by Wendy Cope, entitled 'After the Lunch',  the minute I read it I likened it to me and the relationship that I was in at the time!!.

 I used the fabulous window image from the ARCHITECTURE stamp set as it has a relevance to my memories of the guy.

I stamped out the whole of the poem inside the little book where the window theme flows the way through. If you are wondering how it goes......

On Waterloo Bridge where we said our goodbyes

The weather conditions bring tears to my eyes,

I wipe them away with a black woolly glove

And try not to notice Iv'e fallen in love.

On Waterloo bridge I am trying to think

This is nothing, you're high on the charm and the drink,

But the jukebox inside me is playing a song

That says something different, and when was it wrong.

On Waterloo Bridge with the wind in my hair

I am tempted to skip, you're a fool, I don't care,

The head does its best, but the heart is the boss,

I admit it before I am halfway across!!

Your Journey by Jane

I read somewhere today that in these strange times we are all going through, that we are all in the same storm, but all on a different boat, our journey is different for each individual. I hope you are all staying safe and well.

for this months "journaling" challenge I have made a little book, using that paper leather material..forgot what it is called, but it is fabulous stuff, I just dampen it a bit, then scrunch it up, it gives the appearance of real leather. I then went on to stamp the SKELETON LEAVES, they are only faint here, but gorgeously gold in real life, then I stamped the DRAGONFLIES, and finally the JOURNALING WORD.

I have made this little journal to put all my memories and thoughts of the past six weeks of lockdown, and the coming months until we get back to some kind of normality.

I have made this journal page to thank
the people who work outside risking their lives while we are locked-down. I have made the background with gel plate printings of the Artifacts - Thank you Text stamp, then I used The Splats & Swirl Mask. I finished the background using the Thank you stamp from Grungy Greetings #2 A6 that I enhanced with a white pen.
Then I drew the woman with the mask and wrote Thank You on it.

Hi everyone! Angie here with a page from my art journal for you.

For this page I created a masterboard using Amsterdam paints. I added some stencilling and stamping, then used the large flower stencil and black Sharpie pen to draw the flower. After that I painted the rest of the page with black acrylic paint.

I used the Artistic Stamper Tracy Scott Background 8 stamp, white embossing powder and a versamark ink pad on black card and cut out some of the circles, which you can see dotted around the page.

I also used a quote from the Quotes & Sayings 1 by Debs Smith stamp set for the quote at the bottom of the pages (this time with gold embossing powder).

Lastly I spent a happy few hours doodling on the page with a white Posca pen and then added some white splatter for good measure!

Flowers in the Night. by Jane

Hydrangeas are just the most beautiful flowers are they not!! especially the deep pink and the deep blue kind. I have no room in my garden for a hydrangea bush, so I  have a couple in pots, but alas they don't fare too well in them. We are still on with the "In the garden" challenge, so you still have time to enter this month.

To make the hydrangeas and the sentiment really pop on the dark background I embossed them with white embossing powder.

"Blossom with Time" by Jane

Do artists blossom with time?...I certainly think so, when I look back at my style of crafting when I first started, it has definitely changed, I am still working on trying to be much looser, much freer, and less analytical, I'm not there yet,will I ever get there!!!,definitely not if I am always getting to a point where I dare not make another mark on it for fear of ruining it!!! heck...what do I have to fear...the piece will only go on the teetering mountain of previous stuff anyway!!LOL.

Anyway, enough of my mentality and on to this months challenge, in the garden. sorry guys for my overuse of this brilliant stencil yet again, but I love it.

I love it for its random feel..which I think was more luck than on purpose, but is totally my case in point with trying to be freer..!!

I was messing around with some paperclay and ended up with a a scrappy bit left over, so I flattened it out in a scruffy manner!! and decided to stamp into it with one of the SKELETON LEAVES, there are five different sizes in this set, rangeing from huge to tiny, I love them, and I love the impression it left on the paperclay, a bit fossil like.

First I painted a square piece of card with green acrylic paint and embossed it with a background stamp and green embossing powder.

Next I stamped a selection of mushroom images and coloured them in with watercolours, then cut them out. I glued one layer of mushrooms to the background, then glued a strip of adhesive foam to the bottom of the it. I stuck another set of mushrooms to the foam strip, positioned the Tim Holtzpaperdoll and added some decorative moss.

Finally I glued the whole scene into a little wooden box.

Hi there Artistic Stamper Fans. For this months " Steampunk" challenge I have made a little book, titled Secrets!!...not that I am gonna put my deepest darkest secrets in this book, but I will fill it with nice secrets, probably relating to my Grandchildren and the enormous amount of love I have for them, then hopefully when I have left this mortal coil, they will find it and read it...not that they dont already know how much I love them, jack, who is six, told me last week that he is fed up of me telling him how much I love him and how gorgeous he is..lol!!...Billy is only two, so he is lovin telling me he loves me, and me likewise!!
