First of all, we would like to thank everyone, for all your fabulous entries that you submitted to last month's Red, White and Blue. We had so many wonderful creative pieces from you all and we will be announcing the lucky winner in the next few days, so make sure you check back to see if it's you.
Last month we had the pleasure of having the very talented Trish Latimer joined us as our Guest Designer and we would like to say a big thank you to Trish, for all her hard work and for the stunning creations that she made and shared with us.
This month, we are welcoming the lovely Carol Fox as our Guest Designer and we're really looking forward to seeing all of her gorgeous artwork and being inspired by the creativity that she will be bring to the team.
The new challenge for this month is Circles. To join in with this challenge is simple; make a piece of artwork, include the theme and some rubberstamping, pop back here to link up using the Froggy at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in. As ever there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - £15 worth of The Artistic Stamper stamps of your choice plus the Kling On to mount them onto. And... if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will be entered twice into the draw!
If you need that little bit of inspiration to get you started, then look no further than our Creative Team's stunning creations for this month's challenge.
Astrid created a round tag, using a beer mat from her stash. She then created a round background, stamping Calligraphic mat 12 with Claudine Hellmuth Multimedium Matte, then inked with Honey and Frayed Burlap Distress inks. Then cut a second smaller circle and stamped Music Background in Archival Coffee and tore a slit to create a pocket. Finally, she stamped Gibson Girls 1 in Archival Black, coloured with Distress Markers and inks, cut out and stuck behind pocket. Embellished with Words and Sayings "a Journey, a couple of charms, a flower and some lace.
Tit used a piece of wallpaper which she covered with thin gesso, then painted with acrylics. She then used the border stamps with white acrylics and black archival and stamped a bit of the Europe Map Background here and there. The letter circles are made with punches from my desk protective paper after she has finished creating, and the Seaside stamps are stamped on a book page.
She then glued the page on my summer AJ to cover it.
Alison used Dylusion Ink Sprays on card, & covered a CD, & used the following Artistic Stamper stamp plates...
To make my piece, I blended Broken China and Shabby Shutters DI over a Manilla tag. I then dabbed some more ink through a Crafter's Workshop template, before inking up one of the stamps from the Swirls, Dots and Splats plate with Snow Cap Adirondack Paint Dabber and stamping directly onto the tag. I then used black Archival Ink to overstamp the dots. Next, I stamped the small butterfly from the Tick Tock Butterflies stamps onto Grungepaper, then blended them with the all the colours from the Spring Seasonal Distress Inks and attached them to my tag, in a circle onto a piece of acetate to give the illusion they are flying. Finally I added the Butterfly Words quote and some seam binding dyed with Shabby Shutters Distress Stain.
We hope you will join in with this month's challenge and we're really looking forward to seeing your interpretation of our theme and all your amazing creations and artwork. Please, don't forget to add a comment when you post your entry.
I hope you all have a very happy and creative month!
