Hello Everyone,
Can't believe it's July already, thanks to Neil for showcasing some amazing projects throughout the month of June. Today is my first post as Guest Designer for July here at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog (Thanks Jennie & Hels for inviting me).
My first project that I want to share with you all is using the set of 2 Papier Mache books. I have used the larger of the 2 books. I started out by spraying the whole book in Adirondack Colour Wash (Expresso), layering the depth of colour in different areas then drying with a heat gun. I then inked some cardstock from the Kraft Resist paper stash by Tim Holtz using Distress Stains (Weathered Wood) & Distress Inks (Walnut Stain & Vintage Photo). First of all I stamped the European Map Background in Archival Ink (Coffee) onto the cardstock and adhered to the front of the box. I then stamped Round The World & a quote
from the Travelling Words plate onto the pre inked cardstock.
Inside the book I have used a further quote from the Travelling Words plate and this fab male image called Goose Grease. I then added some pen nibs & a cork vial from the Ideaology range which were adhered with Glossy Accents.
On the back is another section of the European Map Background plate. I have added some metallic rub on pastes to give the appearance of an aged book.
So there it is my first project , I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have and I look forward to my next post. TTF Gillian x.
