Titbelsoeur's tag to celebrate

I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like....

I am sure you are now well aware that it is the 2nd anniversary of  "The Artistic Stamper Creative Team" blog this month and that to celebrate it, Jennie is giving away stamps to some lucky followers.

Here is a reminder on how to win these stamps...
Each Team member has chosen which stamps they would like to work with this month and those are the stamps you could win with me :

this bicycle plate you can find it in the Collage stamps section
PLUS this one from the words_and_sayings section

To win this set you must leave a comment on one of my posts this month (either here or over on my personal blog which you can find HERE)

At the end of the month , I will pick out a winner from the comments on MY posts.. and that person wins the stamps. The other members of the team also have stamps to give away and its the same process : leave a comment on their posts and you can win the stamps they are giving away.

All the winners will be announced in a separate post on the 7th September

Here is my second use of these stamps :

I have used a cereal box as cardstock and glued a book page on it, then inked it through a stencil. I stamped a piece of the set on the pair of jeans I made the flower of my previous creation with and teared it up. I made a flower with the remains of the zip and wrapped around it a twisted strip of fabric. Little strips of ribbon and lace here and there...the top tie is made with the weaving of the sheet I used to cover my tin can (see my August 8th post) :
I am sure you all wish you won this fabulous set of stamps, don't you ?
Already told you : simple as good morning ;-)

Leave a comment here or/and over on my blog, then make a wish... and it may come true !!!

Festive Feeling... Giveaway Time!

Goodly Morning Stampfans! Tis that time of the month again when I do my taggy giveaway... this month the tag has been inspired by lots of different techniques shown by Tim Holtz during his 12 Tags of Christmas bonanza this year. Did you know that Jennie is feeling in a very generous festive mood and not only is she giving away two free limited edition stamps with every single order... she has also set up a special discount of a mahoosive 20% on any orders for the stash used in the 12 Tags... to see all the deets, please CLICK HERE. The offer is only open for a limited time... til 18th December so time to grab yourself a nice Christmas pressie bargain! On with this months tag for giving away. To be in with a chance of winning it is a doddle... simply leave me a comment here and tell my what your favourite Tim tag was this year... the winner will be chosen at random and announced here on the blog on January 3rd 2012. I had lots of fun making this tag because I included all my favourite stashly supplies. The base of the tag was coloured with Antique Linen Distress Stain. I spritzed it with water and then dipped the tag into a smoosh of stain (liking that description!) on the craft sheet... using Frayed Burlap (this has to be one of my faves for vintage, nostalgic Christmas projects)

Anyways... I dried the tag with a heat tool and then did some "Ghost Stamping" with the crackle background from the Joyful Song stamp set. This is a really fab technique and so easy... simply pop your stamp onto your craft sheet face up, ink with your Distress Ink and then pick it up in your hands and kind of roll it over your tag... this will mean that there's no start or finish to the image, instead it just fades out... no harsh edges! I dried this with a heat tool and then roughed up the edges with a Paper Distresser and blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. I used a variety of green Alcohol Inks to colourize a piece of Kraft Glassine paper, scrumpled it, dragged Vintage Photo DI over the top of the scrumples and then dried it. I used the Holly Branch Alterations Die to cut five leaves out and then used the Tattered Pinecone Die to cut out three shapes from brown cardstock... I then assembled them into the pinecones and added Picket Fence Stickles to the edges of the bracks. The little holly berries are Baubles, coloured in a zippy bag with Red Pepper Alcohol Ink and tied with wire and some vintage lace - these are FAB ideas from Tim... and all the deets for the 12 Tags are on his blog. I used a piece of Lost & Found music paper to cut a Tattered Banner and popped this into the pinecone/holly leaf assembly and then set about making the sentiment... which is another easy but cute way of stamping; using Distress Embossing Ink for stamping the sentiment onto Kraft card and then embossing with Ranger Black Embossing Powder and cutting around the sentiment and edging with Vintage Photo DI.

Cor... this is a long winded explanation for one tag... nearly done! The Idea-ology Christmas Adornment charm was painted with a selection of Adirondack Dabbers... using a teensy Claudine Hellmuth Studio brush to apply the paints... then drying with a heat gun, sanding gently and then squishing it into the Distress Embossing Ink and embossing with Clear Embossing Powder... worn of warning... don't try to pick it up straight after you have heated the powders... it is metal... and that means it is hot... ouch!!! Just sayin ;o)) I repeated the "enamelling" process so the bells are really covered with a good thick layer of powders... punched a hole in the top using the Idea-ology Screw Punch and popping onto a little Jump Ring and Mini Safety Pin. Once the whole tag was assembled, I gave it is a really fine spritz with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mists.

You will see that there's a border of snowflakes and the odd snowflake dotted around the tag... I made these using more Alterations dies to cut Kraft Glassine that I had coloured with SnowCap Alcohol Ink... I have done a quick Tutorial over on my own blog so you can see how I did this... all the deets are HERE. Well, that's all from me for now... thanks for looking!!! TTFN

It's November Giveaway Time...

Goodly Morning Stamp Fans!!! Tis that time of the month again when I do a taggy giveaway. This month I have made a Christmas style tag, combining the challenge theme for this month, which is backgrounds and also our "focus on" which is Distress Stains.

I have been playing about with different mediums recently and come up with a fabby use for Rock Candy Cracklepaint... all the deets on what I did will be on my own blog today... so I won't repeat myself here :O) So, once I had achieved the background look I liked, I used Weathered Wood Distress Stain to colour the background of the tag and then edged it with Faded Jeans DI. I used Cobalt Archival Ink to stamp some snowflakes in the background... which are from the Tim Holtz Christmas collection sets.

The snow man is cut from the Winter Wonder Alterations using mountboard, which I then overstamped with a sentiment (also Tim Holtz 2011 collection) in Jet Black Archival and then added an extra hat and nose to him that I had coloured with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The little Ticket is cut from the Movers & Shapers Labels Set and stamped with Jet Black and Vermillion Archival Ink. Finally, I added some Idea-ology Trim and a Memo Pin to hold the ticket and added splodges of Picket Fence and Rock Candy Stickles to add some bling.

To win this tag all you need to do is leave me a comment here... and... if you pop over to my blog, leave a comment there too, you will be entered twice... simples! The winner will be chosen at random and announced on December 3rd 2011 so you will have the tag in time for Christmas. That's all from me... don't forget to nip across HERE to see the fabby special offer ... 20% off Distress Stains this month. Thanks for looking... TTFN!

It's October Taggy Giveaway Time...

Goodly Morning Stampers... yes, it is that time already... another tag giveaway from yours truly... this month being as it is Spooky Season, I have made a Hallowe'en themed tag using the brand new background and flourish stamps, which are on special offer HERE with 25% off... bargain!

I have also used the new Seasonal Distress Inks... I am in lurve with Seedless Preserves, which is amazing because I am not normally a purple kinda gal, but this colour.. imagine Aged Mahogany mixed with Dusty Concord... lushness indeedily! I started by blending Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves and Aged Mahogany DI's onto a Ranger Size 8 tag. Next I "inked up" the mini polka dots stamp with water... because the ink on the tag is still wet and very intense, you can get a really good bleachy look with most stamps. The ickle dots look like little specs of ectoplasm... well, in my head they do lol.

I used the Grid background... inking it randomly with Monarch Orange Archival Ink... then stamping just onto the top half of the tag. Next I inked part of the large Swirls with Plum Archival and stamped this onto the bottom of the tag. The Spiders Web, Skelington and Bats are from the Tim Holtz Hallowe'en sheets and are stamped in Coffee and Jet Black Archival. I added a gorgeous batty-bat charm from the new Hallowe'en Adornments set... I punched a hole in his ear using Tim's Drill Punch... and then attached it to some inked Seam Binding.

Well, that's all for me for now... except I need to let you know how to join in with the giveaway... that would help lol All you need to do is leave me a comment here and your name will be entered into the draw and one name will be chosen at random and announced on November 3rd. Also.. if you hop across to my own blog... leave a comment on today's post, you will be entered into the draw twice! Thanks for looking... TTFN

It's September Giveaway Time...

Goodly Morning Stampers! Here I am again with my monthly giveaway, which this month is... a Christmas tag! I have been getting sparkley and festive with some of those brand new Tim Holtz Collection Christmas stamps that have just arrived at Artistic Headquarters. To be in with a chance of winning the tag, all you need to do is leave me a comment here... and answer this very simple question... do you... make your own Christmas cards... and if you do... when do you start making them? Me? I am the worlds laziest crafter and for the past three years I have been doing the "panic-it's-December-1st-and-I-haven't-made-a-single-card-yet" thing... so this year I am ahead of the game... I have my inky mitts on the new Tim Holtz stamps...and... even better.. if it could get better... the new Christmas IDEA-OLOGY!!!

So... here's how I made the tag... and below will be a list of ingredients with links to the places on the website that they are... so you can hop over and grab some goodies :O))

First of all the tag was made using the Tag Alterations die... cutting plain white cardstock and some of the gorgeous Seasonal Paper Stash... sticking them together and then using a very washy coat of Traditional Tan to dull the pattern down a bit. Next I smooshed Distress Stains onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water, dipped the tag into the inks and then dried with a heat tool.

I made sure the tag was totally dry... then used embossing ink to stamp the greeting... gold embossing powder to emboss and then used the same for stamping and embossing the heavenly crackle background... The Rosettes were cut from more of the Seasonal Stash... and then dabbed with embossing ink... lightly embossed with more gold powder and then the crowning glory... the brand new Christmas Muse Token. I made a little postcard from more of the papers and then coated this with Rock Candy Stickles... a line of bling finished the tag as well as some Seam Binding that I dyed with more Distress Stains. As promised... here are the ingredients:

Tim Holtz Collection: Christmas Memories CMS118 (sentiment), Joyful Song CMS 119 (Crackle background)
Seasonal Paper Stash
Idea-ology - Christmas Muse Tokens, Memo Pin, Mini Safety Pin, Jump Ring
Tim Holtz Alterations: Rosette, Mini Rosettes, Tag DiesLinkDistress Stains: Stormy Sky, Fired Brick
Embossing Ink
Rock Candy Stickles
Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink
Seam Binding

So... there you have it :O)) The winner of the tag will be chosen at random and announced on October 3rd 2011.... please leave me a comment and tell me about your Xmas card making habits... I would love to hear all about it! Thanks for looking...TTFN

Giveaway Time Again!

Goodly Morning Stampers... tis time for my monthly giveaway. This month it is a tag... and the extra little something is one of the brand new background stamps from The Artistic Stamper. To be in with a chance to win is simples... leave me a comment on this post... and I will add your name into the hat... I will use Mr Random.Org and a winner will be announced on September 3rd. Oh and to be in with double to chance, hop on over to my blog, HERE, and leave a comment and you will be entered twice :O))

So, my tag is made from a selection of the brand new stamps that will be launching on Saturday August 13th... Jennie has been previewing some on her blog this week... and... double trouble this month because Jennie also has a set of stamps and a tag to giveaway too. CLICK HERE to be whizzed off to see the deets.

I used Distress Stains to make an inky base for the tag - Old Paper, Frayed Burlap and Aged Mahogany with a smidge of Brushed Corduroy. The background was stamped with the Large Dotty Open and Frayed Burlap DI and then overstamped using the Mini Polka Dots background and Plum Archival Ink. I used the new Cup Ring stamps to make the lollipop flower - stamping onto Kraft Resist, colouring with Aged Mahogany and Old Paper and then scrunching and layering together. The leaves are cut from the Movers & Shapers Mini Branch die set and coloured with Crushed Olive DS. The butterflies are Movers & Shapers, coloured with Distress Ink and then overstamped with the Large Dotty Open... I wanted this to be a bit shabby so I stuck random bits of post it notes over the pattern, inked the stamp, removed the paper and then stamped... instant grungy look! I added a few bits of Idea-ology to finish and some flower Trim which was coloured with Aged Mahogany DS.

Here's a piccie of the Large Dotty Stamp that is up for grabs along with this tag. Do hop on over to Jennie's blog to more of the new releases! Thanks for looking... TTFN

It's Giveaway Time Again!

Goodly Morning... time for my monthly giveaway again. This month the giveaway is this ATC that I have made plus a pack of Idea-ology Adage Tickets. To be in with a chance to win is simples... leave a comment for me here and you will be entered into the random drawer from which a winner will be announced on August 3rd. To be in with two chances of winning... hop on over to my blog, leave me a comment on and you will be entered twice :O))

So, the ATC base is cut using the ATC Alterations die and mountboard. The mountboard was covered with Crowded Attic papers and lightly inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added a splash of colour onto the base by smooshing my blending tool for Aged Mahogany onto the craft sheet and adding a spritz of water - this is a more subtle way of doing a Wrinkle Free Distress technique.

I made some ickle roses using the medium sized Flower Power stamp, edging them with more Vintage Photo and then some Aged Mahogany DI. The Seam Binding behind the flowers was dampened and then I rubbed more Aged Mahog onto the craft sheet and dipped the binding into it. I then dried with a heat gun and cut them to fit behind the flowers. The Adage Ticket was coloured with more Aged Mahogany and splashed with water to make little bleached droplets. Finally I cut out a couple of moths from the Crowded Attic paper and coloured them and popped them onto the butterfly on the paper with their wings up.

All of the goodies I used on this ATC are available from The Artistic Stamper. Thanks for looking! TTFN

All Mapped Out... **Giveaway!**

Goodly Morning... tis a fine day indeed for a giveaway... namely, this ATC that I have made plus a few goodies too... more of that later :O)) The ATC base is made from mountboard that was cut using the Alterations ATC & Corners die, which is such a useful die because I love to use mountboard for my ATC bases... no more cutting with a Stanley Knife! I stamped the Europe Map background onto the base using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Traditional Tan paint to create a resist. Once this was dry, I used Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans Distress Stains, dabbing them over the map, the green for the land and blue for the sea. I spritzed with water, dabbed with a paper towel to take off the excess and gave it a zap with the heatgun.

I used three of the new Crowns, lined them up on the acrylic block and stamped using black Archival Ink. I then popped a gorgeous Idea-ology Crown, from the Regal Adornments set, over the top of the bottom stamped crown. The sentiment was stamped onto cardstock that had been stamped with the Map background and Faded Jeans Distress Stains - this gives a lovely subtle smudgey image. The sentiment was popped behind a little bookplate and attached with brads.

Finally, I used White Dabber to cover the Philosophy Tag so it went into the recesses, then removed the excess with a paper towel. This was attached by Jump Ring to a Hinge Clip. I used the black Archival inkpad to swish around the edge of the ATC to bring the whole design in together.

Now, onto the giveaway! Here's the prize... This ATC, along with the Crowning Glory Stamp Set, the Europe Map Background Stamp, Round The World Stamp and the new Travelling Words Set... plus the Kling On to mount the stamps onto. Here are the stamps:

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is leave me a comment on this post and one name will be drawn at random and announced on Sunday 3rd July 2011. Thanks for looking... have a fab weekend!! TTFN

ATC Giveaway Time Again...

Morning Folks... tis time for my monthly ATC giveaway again... this month I have been focussing on those deeeelicious Crowded Attic papers again ... this time combining them with some lovely Distressy goodies too. To be in with a chance of winning this ATC, all you need to do is leave a comment for me here... the winner will be chosen at random and announced on Tuesday 12th April '11. And... if you leave a comment for me over on my blog, you will be entered twice! Simples (said in the Meerkat voice again lol)

The base of the ATC is mountboard so it is nice and sturdy. I layered an ATC size piece from the Crowded Attic stack and sanded the edges. I then loaded Rock Candy Cracklepaint over the top and set aside to dry. Whilst the drying was going on, I made a little 3d paper rose... there is a "how to" on my own blog HERE on how to do the flowers. So, the layers of the roses were spritzed with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mists... which are my fave mists to use... they are really subtle but give a lovely sparkle to whatever they touch. The rose was made using the medium flower on the Flower Power set.

The little ticket was cut using Tim Holtz Ticket Alterations die and then coloured with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Stains.. spritzed with Heirloom Gold too... and then popped into an Idea-ology Memo Pin. The ickle butterflies are from the Papillon Set and were stamped onto Duralar and then cut out... zapped with the heatgun and curled... and then whilst still hot, spritzed with more Heirloom Gold... this gives a lovely shimmer to them.

Finally, the flower Trim at the bottom is from Idea-ology Trims set ... a few cut to length and dabbed with Antique Linen Distress Stains... then lightly dabbed with Vintage Photo Distress Stains. The ATC base was dry now, so I spritzed this with... yep, you guessed... more Heirloom Gold... and then bobbed a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges... ta dah! That is all finished. Thanks for looking... have a goodly day! TTFN

Crowded Roses ATC Giveaway... By Hels Sheridan

Goodly Morning! Have you seen the new Crowded Attic papers yet? Wow, they are most delish indeedily and I am a lucky lass and managed to bag myself a stack the other day. I have a bit of the thing about butterflies and one of the favourite pages in the stack is the butterflies and moths page... which, hurrah and thrice, is also in the 6 x 6 version and... the little 2" square snips.. which are perfect to make medium sized roses using the Flower Power Set medium stamp.

I have made an ATC using all papers from the new stack, the ATC sized snips are fab for popping over some mountboard - I stuck it down using Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium and then edged the piece with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then used Antique Linen Distress Stain and splodged some dabs onto the ATC and quickly dried it with my HeatBuddy. I gave the whole piece a generous coat of Rock Candy Cracklepaint and set aside to dry and set to making the roses. Once the petal layers were cut out, I edged these with more Vintage Photo so there weren't any white cut lines left.

The sentiment is stamped onto more paper from the stack and edged with more Vintage Photo - the sentiment is from Tim's new collection of Stuff to Say stamps... the little moth was coloured with a waterbrush picking up Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. Finally, to make it blinging-tastic, I spritzed the whole lot with Pearl Perfect Pearls Mists. If you would like to own this ATC, please just leave me a comment here and I will add all the names to a hat and a winner will be chosen at random on Saturday 19th March... this ATC will also feature on my own blog too, so if you leave me a comment there too, you will be entered twice :O))

It's A Giveaway!!!

Good day to you all... it is time for another arty giveaway!! I have made a cute little ATC using some inks and stamps and a bit of embellishing for goodly measures. The base of the ATC is one of the fab ATC cards from Ranger. I glued this onto some mountboard as I wanted the whole ATC to be really sturdy as I knew I would end up bashing it and adding layers to it. The base card was coloured with Bundled Sage Distress Ink and I overstamped with an Artistic Stamper Script Stamp, using Bundled Sage again, I love this look of colour on colour, it really if effective to do a "faded" background. Next, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to blend around the edges. I cut another piece of mountboard for the sentiment... colouring this the same as the base and then adding a Tim Holtz mini sentiment in Ranger Black Archival ink. Over this I stamped the fly-away birds in Bundled Sage and then coated the whole piece with a generous layer of Rock Candy Cracklepaint.

I used another Tim Holtz Collection mini to add the fly-away birds using black ink - I just stamped these a couple of times so they are in perspective as they fly off the ATC. I used some garden jute to tie around the ATC, popping an Idea-ology birdy charm onto the knot of the jute and then adding Washers and Brads to the corners of the ATC... finally, I popped the crackled sentiment on some 3D foam and then assembled the ATC.

If you would like to own this ATC, please leave a comment here... all comments will be entered into Mr Random.Org and a number will be chosen at random on Saturday 15th January - I will also either email you or leave you a blog comment if you are the winner :O)) All of the lovely goodies used on this ATC are readily available from THE ARTISTIC STAMPER! Thanks for looking! Have a FAB day! TTFN

Hels' Tag Of Christmas... Number 2

Goodly morning and a very happy Sunday to you! If you have arrived from Ink On My Fingers, welcome and thanks for coming over... if you have arrived on your travels, welcome and thank you for visiting :O)) First of all... I need to announce the winner of the first Hels' Tag of Christmas... so, Mr. Random.org has cogitated and come up with...

#16 - Stampersue

Many thanks for all your lovely comments, muchly appreciated. On with today's offering... another Hels' Tag of Christmas... so inspired am I by a certain Sultan of Stamping, I have been playing with more Tissue Tape (wow, I lurve this stuff!!!) and ink and made another tag.

I started by sitting pleating Tissue Tape onto a piece of cardstock that was big enough to cover the Pine Tree Alterations die. I pleated the tape and overlapped each layer - starting at the bottom of the card and making my way upwards to the top... this way, the pleats stay stuck down by the layer above. Once the card was covered, I cut the Pine Tree out of it and then used Forest Moss Distress Ink to colour it. I then smothered the whole lot with Rock Candy Cracklepaint and once this had dried, I wrapped some raffia around the trunk.

I used Snowcap Dabber to add streaky patches to the top and bottom of the tag, these formed a resist and I wanted them to look a bit like icicles. I coloured the whole of the tag with Bundled Sage DI, added some Forest Moss, blending over with a Blending Tool and foam and then added script, stamping using Bundled Sage. Finally, I edged it all with Walnut Stain and then used a soft cloth that had been spritzed with water from a Mini Mister to remove the ink from the paint. I stamped a flourish in Snowcap Dabber and then the sentiment in black StaZon, adding white dots with a Ranger White Pen. Finally, I added some elastic trim from the Idea-ology Trimmings and a piece of gold tinsel (from my stash) Oh and the trim at the top is more Trimmings (ribbon this time) which was coloured with Bundled Sage DI and then a few baubles were added as a bit of extra bling.

To be in with a chance of winning the tag, all you need to do is leave a comment here for me and I will use Mr. Random.org again to draw out a number. The winner will be announced next Sunday, 19th December and I will post the tag out as soon as I get the addy deets thru, so all being well, you should have it before Christmas :O)) Anyways... that's it from me for the time being... thanks for looking... have a fabbilicous day! Hels' Tag Of Christmas... Number 1

Goodly morning peeps...Well, who is totally enthralled by those fabulous 12 Tags of Christmas by Tim Holtz?? I am!!! I love tags, I love inks, I love rubber and most of all... I love a good crafty session! For the last few years I have been doing the 12 Tags but also have make my own versions with different bits and bobs from the originals on them... and this year is no different. This tag here has several of the techniques we have seen so far this year and... I am giving it away to one randomly picked comment. So, if you would like to win this tag, please just leave me a comment on this post and I will ask Mr. Random.org to choose a winner on Sunday 12th December '10

I started off this tag by inking up a holly stamp *all stamps used are Tim Holtz Collection* with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Ink and then wiping away patches where the berries are and popped a teensy droplet of Fired Brick Re-Inker... when I say teensy, I mean reeeeally teensy - just the touch of the end of the pippet will be enough as it is very concentrated. I stamped randomly on the edges of the tag and then embossed with clear powder. Next, I used Frayed Burlap DI and went right over the tag, working the ink with a Blending Tool and then adding a touch of Crushed Olive and then Forest Moss Distress Ink to the edges. I used a splash of water from a Mini Mister to add a bit of distress and then dried with a paper towel.

Next I used the music script stamp and stamped in Frayed Burlap DI... stamping Seasons Greetings in black StaZon, wrapping some jute around the tag... making a Tissue Tape rosette (my new addiction - all the deets on how to make this are on Tim's blog with a video too!) The centre of the rosette is an Acoutrement button and I also added Walnut Stain ink over the Tissue Tape (gently does it) just to tone it in. The little sentiment is actually a sticker from the Seasonal Stash Sticker book - this was popped onto card, sanded, Walnut Stained edges and then attached to a Memo Pin.
