Cos I'm ALL WOMAN!!

Hi there my crafting friends, Jane here to show you my inspiration for the ongoing "Square It" challenge that runs until the end of this month. I adore this huuuuuuge sheet of rubber stamps of NUDES images, it is A4 in size, and has images of different women, and also some useful words in there too. I started off with stamping a few of the images onto some gelli prints...yes still trying to use up my mountain!!!. As usual I don't have a step by step of this, but only because I never know where I am going with anything, and especially of this piece, I had to leave it several times and then come back with fresh eyes, my problem was that I wanted it to have a vintage feel, but not to cover up any of the images with lace or doilys or the such like, so in the end I just opted for some crackle glaze and a bit of stenciling with the HARLEQUIN MASK.

I hope you like it, and that it inspires you to join in our "Square it " Challenge.

Thread painting by Titbelsoeur

Hello everyone,
I am currently experimenting a technique I did not know... thread painting !
I love the very interesting random results I get with this technique, if you are interested you will find a lot of videos about it on Youtube.
This one looks like an arum, and I love how it fits well with this Artifacts - Treasured Memories stamp :

This is my first step using this technique, be sure I will show you others in the near future !!

I hope you all will participate in our

November's Creative Challenge - Square it!

for 3 chances to win !

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Your comments are very much appreciated here, on my blog
Bye for now and happy creating.

Junk Journal by Angie Coomber

Junk Journal

Hi everyone!

For this month's "Square it" Challenge I wanted to create a junk journal. This is such a good stash buster and they make lovely little gifts for just about any occasion.

For this particular journal I used a rectangular envelope which I folded in half to make the cover, and gessoed the outside.

I then finger painted, first with the 3 colours shown in the pictures, as well as stencilling with the same colours, using the Artistic Stamper Mini Stencils. I added some black and white patches, as well as black stencilling and stamping in matching colours, using The Artistic Stamper script stamps and Tracy Scott background stamps.

I used some old scrapbook papers from my stash to make page inserts (as well as decorating the inside of the cover), which I stitched into the spine of the envelope cover. I often mix up the "page" sizes a bit which makes it look more interesting, as well as using old book pages, letters, doilies, gelli print pages or whatever else I can find!

I covered the gummed part of the envelope with some homemade gelli print stickers and attached a simple punched circle & bakers twine closure.

I stamped one of the Artistic Stamper butterflies for my focal image on the front of the journal an used a white pen for the doodling. As always there's a quote to complete the project!

Hope you like it, I would love to see other peoples' junk journals!

All Squared Up with Lisa

Hello there!! Lisa here with today's post for The Artistic Stamper. This month's theme is "Square It".

So here is what I did...

I cut a card blank at 7&3/4" square for a background then cut several other smaller pieces to fit inside the background piece.

I coloured all the individual pieces with Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord Distress Inks.

I placed all the different card pieces in the correct places then stamped the Tick Tock Christmas Baubles on to the card.

I then matt and layered all the pieces on to black card leaving a very slim border, then used foam pads do stack each layer to give a 3D effect.

Thanks for popping by,
toodles for now.

Brush can by Titbelsoeur

Hi there !
I had a big baby formula can I wanted to embellish, so I used the shaving foam technique once again to make the background.

Mousse toujours...

And I randomly stamped the Gardening and Mushroom plates from The Artistic Stamper

Then I painted my next a.k.a. and sticked the paper to the box :

Here are the plates I have used :

Gelli on a Plate

I don't know about you guys, but I have a mountain of gelli prints as high as Mount Kilimanjaro!!!, some I find too beautiful to even consider using, and especially cutting up, so I put them in a drawer and just get them out occasionally to stroke.... but the majority are just waiting for the right opportunity to use....but I didn't even use any of my stash for this months "Square it" challenge, I decided to make more gelli prints using a selection of The Artistic Stamper Masks and Stencils cut them into squares, added a sentiment from Paperartsy on one, and adhered them to my card, easy peasy, and a great way to use up your mountain of gelli prints..(if your'e not like me and decided to make even more!!!).

The stencils that I have used are;

I'm looking forward to your interpretation of our "Square It" challenge

November's Creative Challenge - Square it!

Hello!

Welcome to November's Creative Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who joined in last month's challenge.

This month the theme is Square it and can be interpreted any way you like, as long as it has rubber stamps on it. To join in with this challenge (we are limiting the challenge entries to 3 per person), is simple; all we would like you to do is, make a piece of artwork, making sure that you include the theme and some rubber stamping. Pop back here to link up using the Inklinkz at the bottom of this post, so that we can see what you've made and then, leave us a comment to let us know you have joined in with the challenge.

As always, there will be candy for one randomly picked entrant - the winner will receive a stamp of their choice from The Artistic Stamper .
In addition, you can enter the same challenge on Facebook! There is no prize on there, it's just for fun!
To join us on just go to our new Facebook group, and send us a request to join..
And don't forget....if you use The Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry, you will entered into the draw, twice! To get you started here are creations fron some of the team.

JANE

As soon a I knew that this months challenge title was "square it", I immediately thought of my small square Gelli plate, so that is how I rolled with it.

I used the DOG ROSE A4 mask and the sentiment is from the BOTANICAL 3 stamp set.

Jennie

I used a technique learnt from Kate Crane last weekend, using the Gel Press. I used the Large but Beautiful Shrink Art 1 square flower, and printed it using the gel plate. You can see my other prints beside it.

We hope that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.
We look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to add a comment when you have posted your entry.
Have a very creative month
