Art Journal page by Titbelsoeur

Hello everyone, how about an art journal page for today ? Here is how I made it :
- brushed a slight coat of gesso to avoid the inks to spread to the other pages, then applied acrylic paint with a brush and played with my brush for various textures,
- threw some alcohol ink drops here and there to have some transparency
- stamped some background stamps,
- stuck papers, book page bits, images, butterfly  stamped images and real stamps, and the sentiment that was stamped on to a notebook page... with gel medium,
- then wrote some words with a white pen.

And here is my page :

The stamps I used are :

Butterflies 2 size A5

Paper flag by Titbelsoeur

Hello happy crafters !
Here is a "paper flag" I have made to be added to a junk journal I taught last weekend. Let me show you how I made it :

First, I took a torn a notebook page and glued a piece of an old letter. Then I stamped the Harlequin stamp from Mini Backgrounds # 2 size A6 with Vintage Photo Distress ink. After taking the picture, I also stamped the head and body of the small girl from Gibson Girls 2 A5

On top of this, I have added a piece of a stamped envelope I have also distressed, a piece of a compress, and a piece of painted kraft from my stash, I have stamped the word "art" from Journaling Words 3 size A5  with white acrylic paint

I hope my flag gives you inspiration to participate in our

for 3 chances to win some of these fabulous Artistic Samper stamps !

Woodland card by Titbelsoeur

Hello Everybody,
I have made a card for you today, using the Mushrooms A5 Plate © Tit Belsoeur I had the pleasure to design fot The Artistic Stamper. My background is made with waterbased inks sprayed on my mat, then I put the paper on to it and immediately stamped the Harlequin background from Mini Backgrounds # 2 size A6 to have it diluted. I stamped it on the card paper as well.
Then I cut out the mushroom stamped images I had coloured with watercolours and sticked them on to the background paper :

Distressed Butterfly with Lisa

Hi lovelies, Lisa here with today's post is for The Artistic Stamper and this month's theme is 'Distress'.
Distress. My favourite subject!!!

I first started with a plain piece of white card and used ink sprays to add some colour to the background.

I then added some layers using Mini Backgrounds #1 & #2 with black ink.

I stamped the large butterfly from the Insects and Butterflies stamp set on to patterned paper then cut out and sprayed with teal ink spray.

I stamped the butterfly on to the background multiple times, overlaying the image with light pressure.

Then adhered the cut out butterfly over the top.

To finish, I distressed the edges of the card with a pair of scissors.

Thanks for popping by the blog today,
toodles for now,
Lisa x

Backgrounds with Lisa - the mini version....

Hello folks! Lisa here and welcome to My post for The Artistic Stamper. This month's theme is 'backgrounds'.

The Artist Stamper have a fantastic collection of stamps which can be used for backgrounds.
I love making my own backgrounds - starting with a white piece of card and adding colours, textures and layers to create a background.

And this is what I did for this creation...

I started with a white piece of card - size 7" x 7" and coloured the white card with a selection of blues and purples Distress Ink.
I then added a couple of squirts of water and let the water run down the card.

I used The Artistic Stamper Mini Backgrounds A6 stamp set, Mini Backgrounds A6 #1 and Mini Backgrounds A6 #2 by Neil Walker
(These stamps do all come as individual A5 stamps. But with the Mini Background set, there are 4 stamps in the set which I find gives me much more variety as I can never make up my mind which is my favourite...)

I used stamps from all three sets and stamped using the same Distress Inks, layering and overstamping the patterns.
I then stamped the butterfly from the Insects and Butterflies A5 stamp set on to the background with black ink. I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
To finish I added a sentiment sticker.

Thanks for popping by the blog today.
Toodles for now,
Lisa xxx

Antique sardine can by Titbelsoeur

Hello there, how are you doing ?
Today, let's go back to the very very old times... To do so, I have stamped a statue from Architecture 3 058 A4 on Bristol paper and lightly colored it with watercolors.
The background is made with the mini Harlequin from  Mini Backgrounds # 2 size A6  and the big circle from Decay Journaling Stamps #1 Size A5 that I have stamped on a small gelli plate before printing.
In details :

Then I sticked the background to the back of a sardine can, cut out the statue and sticked it on the edge of the can to make depth, and added a few jewels from my stash.

Love, love, love... by Debs

Hi Everyone

Is it really February already!! Despite the cold air usually associated with February, there is always some warmth around the 14th!!

I love it when Jennie releases new stamps, and i have a rule that i don't put new things away until have used them.

I started by using the new Seth Apter Paint set from PaperArtsy and just used the four colours in the set Mud Splat, Green Patina, Key Lime and Smoked Paprika, believe it or not the base coat was Mud Splat!

I used the a couple of the new mini background stamps from sets #2 and #3
and randomly stamped with some of the paint

I stamped the new Neil Walker mini heart onto tissue paper with black archival ink, and used the       6 x 6 word mask to stencil Love on with some of the Green Patina paint.

i shall look forward to seeing all of your lovely projects.

Happy crafting and enjoy
Debs
