Looking
forward to seeing everyone's entries for this months ANYTHING GOES
challenge. For my inspirational design team piece, I have decorated a
canvas. I used the lovely Butterfly plate, Honeycomb mask, and
a Calligraphy mat to create this piece. Please pop along to my blog to
find out more.
I created this little wall hanging using the girls stamps from Garden 1. I put several layers of white Embossing powder onto a piece of card, and stamped into it with Black Archival. Attach it to another piece of card, and add wire and lace . Add some gold ink to the edge.

I created this tag using a size 10 Kraft tag, a brayer and three Amsterdam Paints, Journaling Words 3 and Swirls, Splats and Dots A4 & A5 sizes as both sets compliment each other adding a bit of depth and then added on some of the new thin washi tapes in stock and stamped the statue from the Architecture Stamp set onto tissue.
We hope
that you will join in this month's challenge, and also join us on Facebook too.

Love Inspiration...... Journal page by Debs
Hi Everyone,
This piece started life as a mop up page
The original intension was to clean off some stencils that i seemed to have had loads of paste one and was planning on just wiping my stencils on the page - My black journal was handy at the time.
The messy background was the first layer achieved by wiping the stencil/mask that had some left over paste on it directly onto the page.
With the intention of just using the texture under paints or sprays.
I seemed to use more paste than usual and as I started to use more stencils i seemed to have paste left over on the mask each time and just passed it back through the stencil onto the page. The more i added bits the more i liked it and when it had all dried i added some white lines around the outside.
I was going to take this photo outside to ensure that the whiteness stood out, however we had quite a bit of rain here this afternoon and this evening, so it was taken indoors and the photo has taken on a sepia feel!
Masks used The Artistic Stamper Words mask 6x6
Modelling paste

Accordian Book by Debs
Here is an accordion book that i started a few weeks ago, using Kraft Card and Distress Oxides.
this is the back, i tried to keep each page on this side orange and yellow in some way
this is the front which i tried to keep red and pink
I used a mix of papers and Kraft card adding stencilling and stamping with the Oxides
I gave myself a theme - one side is Butterflies and Dragon Flies.
Using loads of different stamps and masks
I have six pages on each side
I had fun mixing the stamps up and creating backgrounds using some of the new mini background stamps, they are great to use for smaller projects like this
Even the papers were stamped with background stamps
I do like the effect that Distress Oxide have on Kraft, you get great colour
As you may have guessed i do like a nice phrase or quote
Stamps used were a selection from Backgrounds
a selection from Insects and Butterflies plate
a selection from Florals and leaves
And assorted quotes from Words and Sayings
Along with Distress Oxides and Archival Inks
Take Care and Happy Crafting

If Friends were.........by Debs
Hi Everyone
I must say i am really enjoying playing with the new Distress Oxide inks. They are just so lovely to use and because they are an Opaque ink, you can achieve some lovely effects.
I must say i am really enjoying playing with the new Distress Oxide inks. They are just so lovely to use and because they are an Opaque ink, you can achieve some lovely effects.
the only problem with this card, was the fact that i was having so much fun playing that it was only when i had finished that i realised i hadn't taken any photos expect for the very first stage
The background was done with Broken China and Iced Spruce, using the wrinkle free distress method, they really do layer so nicely providing you dry between each layer.
After this layer was dry i added one of the Inspiration Jars direct to the background, and then using post it note to mask off the jar, i then stamped in Sunflowers by Lesley Matthewson then using another piece of post it and stamping with the sunflower made another mask and re-stamped the sunflowers a couple more times. I painted the flowers using spiced marmalade and peeled paint, and kept layering and drying until i was haps with the colours. I then lightly stamped the new Neil Walker web stamp, and edged over the top with more spiced marmalade. Used a piece of scrap card with spiced marmalade on to stamp the phrase from the Botanicals plate.
Hope you have a crafty weekend
Take care

Where there is love.......by Debs
Hi Everyone
I have done a journal page for you this week. I have used stamps as a base to doodle on!
I have done a journal page for you this week. I have used stamps as a base to doodle on!
I love Journaling as some of you may know and just lately i have been playing with doodling, I suspect this page may well be added to in time.
To create the background i sprayed one side of the page with White Linen Dylusions Spray
Then I added
Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange, Bubblegum Pink, Polish Jade and Pure Sunshine, added a spritz of water and then closed the book!
I used Lesley's Flowers and Leaves Mask with white linen to create a border, and then turned the mask over on the opposite page
I then added on more stencilling with the Artistic Stamper number and signs mask and the circle mask, adding spray with a sponge and then i stamped the large heart from the Roses are Red stamp plate. I also stamped the hollow heart on to the white circles and wrote on them to look like love hearts. Then doodled all over it!!
The quote is also from the roses are red stamp plate.
Take care, happy crafting and i shall look forward to seeing all of your entries, there are still a couple more days before the end of the month! We really do enjoy seeing them all

Tick Tock Birthday Card by Debs Smith
Happy New Year everyone
I have done a birthday card for you today! Its nice and bright and cheerful to take my mind off the miserable grey weather we have here at the moment!
I have done a birthday card for you today! Its nice and bright and cheerful to take my mind off the miserable grey weather we have here at the moment!
The background is brayered and to see how i achieved the look read on. The flowers and the sentiment were stamped on a mop up sheet.
I started with a piece of white card and bartered a small amount of Fresco Finish Mahogany to cover the card
I then applied Terracotta and Tangerine Twist over the top of the Mahogany. At this point i wasn't quite sure if it was quite the colour i was looking for so i took the Snowflake
and covered the whole thing with white to knock the colour back a tad
I then added Bouganvilla over the top of the white in places and it was starting looking so much brighter
I had used a spare piece of card to mop up the excess paint with some water expecting to put it in my stash for future use. I have just noticed a red indian in the paint wish i had seen it before!!
I then stamped tick tock flowers with black Archival onto the mop up sheet and cut them out using two of the large flower and one of the small.
I then added some background stamping to the main piece by using the number stamp from the Family Values plate and then stamped one of the flourishes from the Swirls and Splats plate these would be under the flower so it didnt matter that they hadn't lined up completely
I added the flower onto the top of the flourish and popped a button from my stash on the top and then stamped Happy Birthday from the Grungy Greetings plate onto another piece of the mop up sheet.
Added this piece to a white card and voila!!
Thanks for popping over and i am looking forward to seeing all of your entries this year!
Happy creating

A little late - Debs
Hi Everyone
I hope you are all ready for Christmas, i am not quite there yet, as you may have guessed, getting behind with everything at the moment!! Here is a seasonal journal page to help you feel a bit more Christmassy if you are not already!!
I hope you are all ready for Christmas, i am not quite there yet, as you may have guessed, getting behind with everything at the moment!! Here is a seasonal journal page to help you feel a bit more Christmassy if you are not already!!
I had started this page some time ago, playing with some blue and white acrylic paints, it was crying out for something frosty looking.
I stamped the large snowflake from the jewelled snowflake set with versa mark and embossed with wow silver embossing powder. I then stamped the new snowflake background stamp, with Picket Fence Distress Ink around the edge of the page. Then stamped the Noel and Seasons Greetings from the Christmas Greeting #1 set with Black Archival.
The final part was to get out the silver and white gel pens. I coloured the Noel and Seasons greetings with the silver and then added white on the tops of the letters to look like snow had settled on them. then coloured the snowflakes in with the white pen.

Creative.... Artful.... Inspire... Tag by Debs
Hi Everyone
When i sat down to make this project, the wind was howling and the rain was teeming against my craft room window. I felt the need for something cheerful!! I also decided it was about time i used some of my gelli prints in a project rather than just keeping them to stroke!!
When i sat down to make this project, the wind was howling and the rain was teeming against my craft room window. I felt the need for something cheerful!! I also decided it was about time i used some of my gelli prints in a project rather than just keeping them to stroke!!
I started off with a large tag and covered it with some printed tissue, not worrying about creases
Then i started adding in bits of gelli print, just ripping them off and sticking them down
I was going to add the pink bit at the end (its just off a paint spout) but it appeared to vanish between my taking this photo and finishing!!
I then started adding some acrylic paint i used Amsterdam paints, using pink and that lovely teal colour
I then added some stencilling using the mini square, the number stencil and Georginas Daisy and then stamped some circles using the Decay Journaling #1 Stamp set
I then stamped the circles again onto more Gelli Prints and cut them out and stuck them onto the tag where i had stamped.
I added some doodling with white and black pens either using the pattern on the gelli print or just doodling. I also went round the stencilled images with a white pen as well.
I also stamped a some of the Framed words onto some white card
Added a nice pink ribbon bow and it cheered me up no end!!
Hope it inspires you.
There is still a week left on this months challenge so don't forget to add your projects, you never know you might win!!

I stamped Lesley's Ivy stamp with wild honey, rusty hinge, fired brick and Peeled Paint Distress Ink. To create the overlapping i masked over each image. I used the Decay Upper Case Alphabet in the same colours, cut out some more leaves and used Peeled Paint distress ink for the background.
After blending Distress Crayons over my background, I added interest by placing the petal mask over the top. Over that I stamped with different Artistic Stamper stamps including the leaves from the Dog Rose

I decorated a mirror with lots of die cut leaves, our Skeleton leaf stamps, Tit Belsoeur's Mushrooms. I used Cosmic Shimmer's Gilding Polish to colour the mirror, and stamped with Archivals.

Inspiration...... by Debs
Hi Everyone
Here is my latest project using the theme of this months challenge - Patterns. Sorry its a bit dark, these dark evenings are not good for photographing projects!!
Here is my latest project using the theme of this months challenge - Patterns. Sorry its a bit dark, these dark evenings are not good for photographing projects!!
This was journal page which started life as one of those pages that you use up paint and paste on.
This page had some texture and some colour and i just thought the texture would make a good start for a new page
I added some Dylusions squeezed orange paint
Followed by some Bubblegum Pink and London Blue
i then added some stencilling using assorted mini stencils from The Artistic Stamper
Using the same colours again over the top or the original
Gradually building up the background
Using the Lesley Matthewson pattern 2 mask i added some White Linen Dylusions paint
I added some stamping into the background with Calligraphy Mat 11 and Mini Polka Dot using Archival black ink
Loving your entries so far this month. Still a week to go so lets see what else you can all come up with.
