Your Journey by Jane

I read somewhere today that in these strange times we are all going through, that we are all in the same storm, but all on a different boat, our journey is different for each individual. I hope you are all staying safe and well.

for this months "journaling" challenge I have made a little book, using that paper leather material..forgot what it is called, but it is fabulous stuff, I just dampen it a bit, then scrunch it up, it gives the appearance of real leather. I then went on to stamp the SKELETON LEAVES, they are only faint here, but gorgeously gold in real life, then I stamped the DRAGONFLIES, and finally the JOURNALING WORD.

Butterfly Friends by Jane

I was watching Hochanda on TV yesterday....I'm always watching Hochanda!!!!... especially when Lou Withers is on, who doesn't love a bit of Lou!!. Anyway, on her show there were some Brusho's, and some new brusho's called Sprinklit. you sprinkle this stuff on top of your brusho's and it makes them sparkle...I ordered some, my brusho's haven't seen the light of day for ages now, so I got them out, if you don't have any I would definitely recommend you do.
I started this card with some texture paste, stamped into it while it was still wet, then once dry I sprinkles the brusho powders on and squirted water on them, I love how they merge and mingle. Can't wait for my Sprinklits to arrive!!

Jane's Junk Journal

Hi Guys.  I am still addicted to my journal making, so I took the opportunity to do a green journal, literally and figuritively!!. I have been wanting to do a junk journal for a while now, so have been collecting used envelopes, junk mail, bits of odd paper,etc... I see plenty on pinterest, and youtube, and they all look amazing, but I have to say that mine just looks like a collection of rubbish at the moment..thank heavens for gesso!!!
Anyway, the challenge this month is "go green", and so I have done my journal cover in mainly green inks, with plenty of Artistic Stamper products.

For the background I started with the CALLIGRAPHY MAT 12 and the SEQUIN WASTE OPEN stamps. then I used the A4 SWIRL MASK with texture paste. Then the two dragonflies are from the INSECTS & BUTTERFLIES set, then finally a bit of texture from one of the stamps from the MINI BACKGROUNDS set.
How will you interpret our challenge for this month?...I look forward to seeing your creations.

with Fresco Finish Bora Bora paint.
The artistic stamper petals mask was used on the left hand
side and 3D gel was put through and allowed to dry.
The Butterfly from the insects plate was stamped onto Adirondack
Coloured card I then used crackle accents on the wings.
I sprinkled white embossing powder over and heat embossed
from underneath.

Turquoise wool was wrapped round.

Layered Journal cover

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,
I got plain Art Journal for myself recently. And when I decided to make cover for that, I  could not think other than my lovely Artistic Stamper stamps. And I used many to create this Vintage Journal cover.

I started with stamping some images

I've used Gibson girl plate # 1stamp, Waches, large Butterfly stamp from Insects and Butterfly N0 1 , my favourite small bird from Birds of Feather set,
I stamped them with black and Coffee Ranger Archival Inks.

I took design paper from Prima Vintage Journey paper pad. Applied gesso and dried it with heat tool. With crafters workshop stencil and Clear Crackle embossing paste I created texture. If you click on this photo you can see beautiful crackles. Then, I spritzed Lindy's stamp gang inks in various blue, red and brown colors, created some drips. They made beautiful layers.

Here also you will see the background texture and layers.

Next on the base I created layers with stamped images, design papers from Graphic 45 couture pad, diecut doily, Tag. I gave these paper vintage look with spraying inks and applying Distress inks - Vintage photo, Broken China, Walnut stain. I distresses edges with Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.

Here you will see cute lil' birdie, vintage charm, wooden button and  flowers as my embellishments.

I am totally in love with these Gibson Girls stamp set. Images are lovely and we can add them on any project. I adhered the stamped image of this girl on diecut frame, which I distressed before with broken china distress ink. Other than flowers, you will see Prima jute trim which is perfected suited here. And colored butterfly is perfect fit in the corner, it has beautiful design on it.

In the middle, I've created tile with floral stamp. I colored it again with distress inks - Peeled paint and Broken china, vintage photo.

And this is the final look of my Journal cover. Do you like it? Let me know in your comments.
The theme of this Month's challenge at Artistic Stamper is 'Memories'. Use your favourite Rubber stamps and Distress Inks to create something beautiful from your memories.
Thanks so much for your visit today.

Journey of the Butterflies by Dee

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the summer.
Today I have a tag for you.

I put grunge paste through a Tim Holtz cargo stencil to spell Fly.
Once dry I painted the tag with Fresco Finish Paints in the
following colours Inky Pool, South Pacific,
Beach Hut, Ice blue, Hey pesto &
Guacamole.

Once dry I stamped the flowers from Encyclopaedia Botanica down both sides
in black archival and highlighted areas with pumpkin soup and ice blue.
The newspaper print from the stamp I stamped with snowflake
down the right hand side at the bottom of the tag.

To the left hand side I stamped the squiggle line from the borders plate
in chipped sapphire and gold embossed it. On a separate piece of card I
coloured it with distress inks in wild honey and faded jeans
I then stamped the flowers from the botanica plate,
and the butterflies from the insects and

I triple embossed the clocks of the Tick Tock plate and cut them out.
I used a small clock face to finish this off.

Once I had cut out the butterflies and flowers and highlight areas I
embellished the centres with sequins and beads.
Next I sprayed the butterflies with perfect pearls in Blue Patina,
Cappuccino and Heirloom gold. The wings were then
 highlighted with glossy accents.

Small beads were applied to make up the bodies of the butterflies along with

The bottom was finished off with a Tim Holtz die cut painted in gold leaf.

That's all for today I hope you have all enjoyed this project .
Please feel free to leave me comments
Happy stamping!
Dee x
