Seize the moment by Titbelsoeur

Hello everybody,
To illustrate our May challenge, I have chosen to show you this art journal page I have made, using this nice "seize the moment" stamp from the  Journaling folder in the online Artistic Stamper shop.

As you can see here, and moreover viewing  Confinart Journal and Toutenkharton, that are 2 playlists from my Youtube channel where I show you how to make nice albums with leftovers, it is very easy to make nice pages and albums, making sense with nice sentiments... or not !

Thinking of you...

Hi there, Titbelsoeur here with another card !
You know that I love to try new techniques, so here is another one. How have I made it ?
I first took a background paper from my stash, one I made while my last workshop. Then I stamped here and there letters and numbers from Family Values with Broken China Distress ink. After that I sprayed the Large Sequin Waste Mask  with a mix of Festive Berries and Pink Raspberries inks.
Thinking of you from Grungy Greetings was stamped with Archival Black and the Time & Keys clocks with Archival Plum
A spray of Lemon Zest Dylusions ink, then some white acrylic on the edges and on spots here and there.

And, of course, a personalised signature from the Handstamped set on the back of the card :

Do you like this card ?
Thank you so much for stopping by, I can't wait to read your comments !

Guess what...

... the background of my card is made of...

Actually, Jennibellie showed us the technique on her forum, and I had a try (just like I try all weird techniques I view !). You just want to take 4 or 5 kitchen roll used sheets, glue 2 of them together, then another one on top of it and one or 2 again. The glue must completely wet the towels, thus you either want to use your home-made glue (with rice or flour), or add the same volume of water to your glue and mix.
Once dry, here are your sheets, all different and unique :

Now you want to stamp on the sheets :

And then I stamped the
Grungy Greetings #1
on to a watercolor paper

And Grungy Greetings #1   on to school book pages I glued on the inside of the card for the sender to write down some sentiment !

Please let me know whether this technique did interest you, I am looking forward to reading from you ! And don't forget to participate in the Artistic Stamper monthly challenge... talking about memories !
See you !

Background stamps part II by Titbelsoeur

Hi crazy stampers !
2 weeks ago, I showed you how I had made an original background spraying ink on my stamp instead of inking it with a pad.
The card I am showing you today was made with the 2nd use of the stamp, I had just sprayed some water to revive the colors, hence the shadows here and there :

I then enhanced my background applying Broken China and Worn Lipstick Distress inks through the Dot Masks with foam.

Since my Architecture stamps were on my table, I stamped the word "Art" and the column again, and completed with Chevron Elements, Messy Art arrows and "I made this", a clock and a Gibson girl on to a book page :

To make this card, I used :
Dot masks
Archival ink
Dylusions Inks
Distress inks and foam
and stamps :

Chevron Elements
Background stamps : Linen and Calligraphic Mat 13
Architecture plates : Art and column
Gibson girls
Time
Journaling

And I have tested this technique on to other supports and with other stamps. Some results looked great, others were not convincing or simply ugly, it really depends on the stamp you use, anyway I am sure I will use this technique again, using the stamps that match with it... Some outlooks :

and I have swept the leftover on pages of my artbook :

I would be very happy if my technique does inspire you,

thank you so much for stopping by,

I am looking forward to reading your comments !
Do not hesitate to ask for any help !

A tout bientôt,

Art journaling with new stamps and stencils

Hey there, this is Titbelsoeur talking to you !

How exciting it was for me to both get back to art journaling and use these awesome Artistic Stamper new stamps and masks !

I got the feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night that Jennie created those stamps and masks FOR ME !!! Jennie, tell me : did you ? or what ? anyway, you really rock !!!

I started painting my page with blue and white acrylic paint, and I really  HAD A BALL using this amazing Splats & Swirl mask to make my background !

But it would have been nothing if I hadn't added the Messy Art © Katy Fox stamps to the page :

among a few other stamps, of course !!!
which are :

Inspiration
Numerical plate
Dots Background
Age

This was really a big pleasure to art journal again, and I hope you feel it when you look at this page I am very proud of !

Thanks for stopping by,

I am looking forward to reading your comments!

A la prochaine !
